Is there a TSB number or service number we can reference when calling dealerships? I didn't see a specific number on the details on the prior instructions.

Bought a new 18 King Ranch Saturday night. I was tired and did so little due diligence that I was unaware of many of the features the truck had.
Discovered on Sunday it had one of those double moon-roofs.
(I told you, it was dark. I never sat in it)
Then while sitting in the driveway I stumbled on the massaging seats!
Last night I came across Sync-connect and figured out the activation process.
After finding this thread I immediately went out to the truck and fired it all up.
Connected a phone and ran a speed test app. 18 megs per second. Pretty amazing since I live deep in the woods and can barely get 2 bars of LTE in the house. Truck must have a decent antenna?

I'm pretty tickled with the whole thing.

Should take ~30 minutes. I was the first one my dealer had done. Took ~2hours. Good luck!

Okay I’m by far not a Ford newbie, however I don’t own a FORscan device, but see them on amazon for fairly cheap, less than $50 range. So is this something I can buy the device, run the software, easily make the instructed changes and be done, or is it a bit more involved to the novice user? I just hate the dealership service experience with a passion. If it’s a 30 min fix, its prob no issue...but rarely do things ever go smooth at the dealer, so if I can spend the money and do it myself, I may go that route. Any advice appreciated.

Thanks! Evidently mine will be the first done at my dealership as well so I guess we’ll see.

Just called my dealer and they said my 2018 does not qualify because of the build date. So I said what now? And the Ford dealer just said sorry! This is amazing! No one knows anything.

Just take it in. Here is the thing, it may not "qualify" for that TSB or whatever they issued for this problem, but if you have inop equipment, it needs to be fixed or replaced one way or the other.
