Looks like a big Explorer.

That dial shifter is a complete deal breaker for me on ever considering it for my fiance. We absolutely HATED it in my previous 2014 Ram 1500. If anything, I am happy they did put it on the console though. I've shifted my old truck out of drive going down the road when I thought I was adjusting the AC/Heat blower dial - which was right beside it.

Other than that, I actually kind of like the design of the new Expedition but I am very anxious to see how the Bronco is going to look.

The dial shifter is probably a deal breaker for me as well. I've always been a fan of having a shifter on the console instead of the steering wheel. Ford and Toyota are the only trucks that do that.

I've also seen pictures of the black leather in the new Platinum Expedition. The back of the driver and passenger seats are tan and the headliner is tan, which doesn't look good in my opinion.

I wish they offered a FX4 option like Chevy has Z71 for Suburban/Tahoe.

Nevertheless it's a needed redesign/upgrade from previous versions. I'm also looking forward to the new Navigator.

There's drawing cues from popular designs, and then there's rebadging a competitor's product. I think we all know which of the two happened here.

Looks way to much like an extended explorer. Being a body on frame suv, it needs to be more masculine looking like the f150 to differentiate it more from the unibody crossovers.

While I really agree with you and prefer the look (coming from the current owner of a 2008 Expedition) it hasn't sold. The Explorer on the other hand is selling great so I understand why they decided to make the Expedition look like the Explorer.

This is much better looking than the current model. I could get on board with this in a few years.

As a former 2015 Tahoe owner, I sure hope the roof design doesn't cause the same issues that the Tahoe had. The brace / roof separation that caused the buffeting noise was unbearable. 10 months later, I dumped it. No first year model purchases for me ever again.

I like the new layout of the radio and HVAC controls.

i.e. you could easily tell which level the fan was on without having to see the tiny bars on the infotainment screen. Also, the actual temp setting on the temperature control ***** themselves versus only being displayed on the infotainment screen. With MFT, both are hard to read if you have Phone, Nav, or Radio full screen versus the four quadrant view.

That's EXACTLY what I was just thinking. They have tried to copy the Explorer nose and it's a failure - it looks okay on the Explorer, it doesn't look good enlarged. Another thing I've noticed is there probably isn't going to be a 110v outlet in the dash - the picture dash shows 12v only on the door. Disappointing for various reasons - that roto gearshift **** is another disappointment.
