My rear driver side passenger door had a rattle. All clips were replaced and put felt between door panel.
Now rattle coming from from rear passenger seat belt shoulder area. Body shop tried fixing it once, needs more attention.

I’m just amazed you all are able to find a dealer that is willing to address any rattle, leave alone drill into the frame for one.
My 2017 Lariat sounds like a bucket of bolts and as my warranty ticks away the dealer always seems to find the deafest, oldest tech to tell me they couldn’t replicate the issue.

Well that's what I figured I was gonna be told couldn't believe they told me they heard it. Kind of makes me think it's a bigger issue than just the rattle. Wouldnt think drilling the frame would be a option just for a noise

in the frame sounds far fetched .. i know the rear vent to the bed vibrates with stereo systems, but i assume that isnt the case because you would have said that prior. I would say the best thing would be to take all rear seats out.. then take the carpet of the back wall and see if it gets louder or if you can pin point it better

They supposedly already took all that out and that's how the technician came up with he believes it's in the frame. Also dont understand why they have to send it to a body shop and cant be fixed at their shop

A lot of dealers don't do body work.. paint .. tint .. collision repair most of them have an authorized body shop they use. My assumption is they want to make sure they dont' screw up the truck by drilling into the frame and a body shop will be better experienced to fix it if anything

they will go as far as installing parts and performing service .. but if they ordered you say a bumper and it needed to be painted the body shop would do it.. i remember when i went to pick up my truck the valet crashed it in a wall .. they had the local body shop do all the work and they had to order a brand new bumper
