Default 2018 Pre-collision assist

Can someone help clarify regarding the 2018 pre collision assist ? Trying to look up more information online but found inconsistent information on that. Does the pre-collision apply automatic emergency braking if there is imminent accident or just pre-charge the brake only ?

Pre charges and if you don’t Re-act it will break is my understanding

its like the adaptive with stop and go, not sure if you tested it yet but I find it a little liberal with when it decides to brake lol. Wonder how it would work in the winter on snow and ice

This only works if you have the stop and go cruise control correct?

In addition, the 2018 Ford F-150’s new Precollision Alert with Pedestrian Detection is also a segment first, which uses RADAR and a camera to continuously scan for potential collision risks on the road ahead, including people. If a risk is detected, the vehicle will sound an alarm and administer a visual warning, before automatically applying the brakes should the driver fail to react. The feature will be optional on Lariat, King Ranch, and Platinum models, and standard on the Ford F-150 Limited.

Do you have the adaptive cruise with stop and go?
