"A “whirring” noise while decelerating at any or all speeds is most likely caused by bad pinion bearings or loose pinion bearing preload. This condition is typically always diagnosed as a bad ring and Pinion gear."
yep i have had my injectors replaced as well around 4500 miles

On my truck, it is noticeable under acceleration or maintaining speed, only between 50 and 60 mph, and not really audible when decelerating.

True that! Yes, I need to get it in for sure. I want to do the transmission TSB, and pillar recall as well. I am not sure about the door lock advisory, as I have not experienced any issues yet.

Just started getting the Bad Weather two weeks ago with the -25 stuff
Now 20" of snow in the last ten days, so most of the time in four wheel.

Twice now, sub 30 MPH when letting off and rolling to slow, a pronounced Clicking noise. (experiencing this morning in the six inches of new snow in traffic was awesome... cough)
Light tap on the brakes to see if it is an iced up rotor, Clicking Stops, Battery Light On, Truck not Running. (removing brake pressure and there is no restart, so I don't believe it is the Auto Off)
Push into Neutral and restart. Pops right off and continues to run the rest of the way to work.

Ideas??

I have had no door freezing issues, nor have I heard any of the reported engine rattle issues.

Only other that I have experienced were two check engine lights that reset after four Start cycles.
I'll have the codes pulled after some of the Thaw Me Out rush at the dealership slows down.
Update: This evening (in more snow blech) I noticed a slight clatter when letting off throttle around 25 mph.
Stopped and filled the tank for the cold weather to come.
Pulling away from the pump there was a pronounced clatter under the hood, and the Check Engine light came on again.
Up the street with a clatter and low on power. Then it smoothed out again.

I'm going to limp it to the Dentist in the morning then drop it a the Dealership before it strands me someplace.

2018 Lariat F150 SCrew 3.5 EB
Since day three when driving above 55 mph I can hear a low frequency drone. Sounds like it originates at the rear of the cab. It's very noticeable at 75-80 mph. Not like tire or exhaust noise. More like a distant wind noise. The sound changes when passing or being passed by another vehicle which would change the air flow around my vehicle.
Dealer tech says he can't hear anything, but, most of his customers live in the city and don't drive highway speeds. Arrrrgh

The 16 I had was affected by this. Apparently there is a batch of front differentials that were not properly assembled, no pre-load on the pinion, and they are starting to fail now. My dealer has had to replace about a dozen so far, and knew exactly what the issue was when I brought mine in. Mine was causing a vibration when decelerating. With all the issues I went through, I decided not to get another 4WD, and haven't regretted it....yet. Besides I can buy a lot of sets of snow tires for what the 4WD costs, and don't care what resale is since I don't plan to get rid of the truck any time soon.

You asked for it!

I've my 2018 Platinum fx4 F150 for about 4 months now, below are a list of what I believe are my issues disappointments and opportunity for improvements. Some of these items were known to me before my purchase and some were not. Like many, I am not a hard core brand loyalist; I start every purchase with an open mind. My last three trucks were 2013 F150, 2015 F150, 2016 Ram Eco Diesel.

First I want to say, this is more a letter to Ford than a rant to the Forum members! A 2021 redesign is on the horizon so please start listing to us. I am an engineer myself and therefore I believe that I am a little extra critical when it comes to poor design decisions (however small) that product managers and engineer’s allow to persist year to year. Poor engineering does not bother me as much as refusing to acknowledge and rectify it given the opportunity.

Here we go!!

1) Backup Camera - worst than any truck I've owned, tiny bit of rain snow, or frost renders it useless. I did not have this problem on my 2015 so I assume it is the new tailgate design or the Tech package. Because of the time of year the camera has been only 20% useful.

2) Door latches freeze – about 30 times in the last 60 days in the morning after opening the driver door to get in, the latch stays open and I had to drive holding the driver door closed. Usually after about 5 or 6 miles while toggling the lock button continuously I can close the door, a few times I had to hold it for the whole 15 mile drive to work before I could close it. Other times I had to crawl in or out the passenger or back door. The truck has been in twice for this and I am still fighting it. This also happened a few times on my 2015 but was fixed by the dealer.

3) Power steering – Someone on this forum complained about the auto stop start and how it affected the power steering. I laughed because we all know the pump is electric now. The pump can run without the engine on! Wrong! At least every week the engine restarts and I have to fight with the steering wheel to muscle the truck around a corner or tight spot.

4) Technology package default camera view – Someone at Ford decided that if you bought the Tech package you must always have that view when backing up as your default, most of us don’t!! Let us choose! We paid for the truck. And the camera view control button should be accessible from the steering wheel.

5) FordPass app is useless except for remote start, all my other trucks including my last f150 you could send a destination waypoint to the nav unit remotely, now I have to plug my phone in, at that point I would rather just enter it manually. On trucks with advanced options, there are a lot of useful options they could have implemented, instead they punted.

6) Cross traffic alert – when we are backing up we now have to look at the rearview mirror, the side mirrors and the backup camera display. Where does Ford display the warning if something is detected by the taillight sensors? In the instrument cluster! WTF!

7) My truck randomly displays trailer connected then trailer disconnected as I’m driving down the road. Spoiler alert, no trailer is attached!

8) Blind spot alert – Most other manufactures give the option to add an alert sound when someone enters your blind spot when you have the direction signal on ( I’m not saying make it the default setting). As with most of the other items Ford does not offer much configurability even though there would be little cost to them to do so.

9) The truck has a large area in the Instrument cluster to display info and data, Why can we only display one thing at a time, the design has not changed since my 2013 f150, look at what others are doing such as Ram.

I know some of my complaints might look petty and I could add at least 10 more but my issue is that most of these are small fixes or software changes. The truck went through a refresh for 2018 and all I see changed is an uglier front grill. Not too many of us care about the parking assist or trailer backup assist that the spent years on, we want the small stupid things fixed. For over 65K is it too much to ask for my doors to close and to see out of my camera without getting out and wiping them down every time I get in.
