18 lariat 502a Kansas Plant . Mismatched tailgate support straps, drivers side tight, passenger side very lose, weight 235 and while sitting on tailgate passenger side still lose, no remote start function, plastic rattle in drives door low speed rough roads. Minor things to have corrected when the first oil change is done. Kansas Plant

Easiest way to see is to provide light from underneath. Then you can visually see any gaps. I found mine accidentally when removing my tonneau to get the bed LineX sprayed. Just happened to be on the driveway after a light rain. The sun reflected on the water shining bright underneath allowing me to see the gaps.

Overall I'm extremely happy with the truck.
You know the auto wiper speed sensitivity is adjustable on the turn signal stalk, correct? Or are you talking about something else?

I have the rain sensor on mine that has a tendency to go too fast for a light drizzle that I would like to tweak on mine. I have the stalk control all the way on slow.

Default Update: 0ver 2K miles

Update: (2018 Lariat Screw, 3.5)

OK, I had wrote in with ~600 miles, I now have over 2000. A couple highway trips and lots of varied road conditions:

Pros:
-Still no major issues! Everything works mostly as it should. (details in the "cons" section).
-Family and I love it. Ski trips: Skip the lodge, put boots on sitting on the tailgate and go. No parking? 4WD, climb a snowbank . Ski racks are for crossovers :P . (Shame: My wifes car is a crossover, hahaha)
-Great power!
-Handles great in snow! I put relatively cheap General Grabber's on it and it's been really good in snow. It's funny, I've had AWD cars for 20 years now. 4WD makes me realize how little I use 4WD. Skiing a few times, driving in fresh snow a couple times. My parents 10% sheet of ice driveway....(BTW, the offroad menu is cool, I never knew their driveway was that steep)

Cons:
-Mileage isn't great, but not horrible. I'm in NE: winter gas + turbo's in my former cars usually was ~2-3 MPG hit. I'm at 17.3 mixed. 70/30 city/highway. I bought it in November, so it's only ran winter gas AFAIK.
-The rain sensing wipers are like the Jamaican Bobsled team when it snows. Out of sorts, they do try hard, but just can't get it right.
-I have issues with my left foot now because of the motor. It has a twitch now that forces it to extend sporadically. I've seen a doctor about it, he referred me to a shrink and gave me a prescription to go karting more

A con for most LED headlight equipped cars?: Most of my family has LED headlight cars. Driving while it's snowing, the LED's channel the heat away from the "bulb" through heat sinks. Halogens project some heat onto the lens. The LED's dont' seem to melt away snow as well as Halogens. I find I have to stop and clear them more often as the snow packs. Maybe I'm crazy, but I think it's true.

I'll post another update in the summer. Hope this is helpful to somebody!

Picked up my new 2018 Lariat this week. Nice looking truck but doesn't drive that well. Likes to wander and drift a lot, with very vague steering response. My 2011 was an excellent driving truck, this 2018 truck feels like a huge step backwards. Wish I had my old truck back.
Up side is the ten speed is awesome, having no issue with it at all! And I love the 5.0 sound.

Then something is wrong. Mine tracks true and straight, empty, loaded, towing or not. Way better than my 2011 was.

Check balance, alignment.

I agree with mhamershock for these things are awesome drivers. You need to take her in for checkup.

Called the dealer day after delivery and they instantly gave me the " It's not our fault we don't build 'em" I said " I'm not mad and I didn't say it was your fault I just want it to be checked out please." They respond "Come in Saturday and drive another one, we think you will find this to be normal."
Why are dealerships mostly a bunch of dicks? Why is it not possible there IS a problem with a brand new truck? Why have you decided the problem is just me, with out even looking at the truck?
I'm not saying the truck will instantly head to the ditch, but it does not drive well and this should not be the norm.
