At least there is the recall on the door locks, although it has mixed reports on how well it works.

I do pamper my leather but I do a lot of short trips and so there is a lot of getting in and out of the vehicle. More than what my mileage represents.

I have seen some other late model King Ranch and so far all have looked as good as mine has so far. The King Ranch does come standard with the power step boards, which I do use getting in and out of my truck. That could help with less heavy butt dragging across the leather all the time.

I will also say the heating/cooling feature in these seats work waaaay better than they did in my 2015.

My wife has a 2017 Lexus Rx and her leather is not holding up as well and mine is.
Funny, we have the same two vehicles ;-)

I'm just noticing some very slight wear on my '18 KR seat at 5k miles. Noting major at all and likely due to my not being careful to step up and out rather than sliding. I'm thinking about some sort of cover just for the seat bottom but not sure if that helps or hinders.

Our 2002 Lexus LS leather seats are crack- free and just as buttery smooth as they were when it rolled off the assembly line 17 years ago. I suppose we get what we pay for.

I have a Honda Accord that I use as my daily...has leather...still looks perfect. Same with our Camry. Our F-150 on the other hand...not so much. Money might have something to do with it, but I think it's probably the manufacturer more than anything.

I can't help but to slide in and out but the side steps help I think with the amount of weight on the seat toward the end of the slide.

I do use a leather treatment 4 or 5 times a year on my seat because of it having most of the use. The passenger side about 3 to 4 and the back about twice per year. I found some leather treatment I really like and apply with my hands and just wipe it in real well. This leather does a good job soaking it up. It's called Chamberlains leather milk. Comes from a high end leather company that makes all kinds of leather bags and such. Got mine on Amazon, I'm a bit **** on caring for my vehicles and have tried countless products over my 62 years.

You can see by my washing cleaning center in my garage. LOL I use an air-force blaster to blow dry all my vehicles after washing. That thing has crazy power. I rarely vacuum, I just open all the doors and hit it with the air blaster, done in 2 min. Does a great job getting everything out of the small cracks, under seats, vents ect.

I do need to clean up and organize my shelf's after seeing this photo.

The front camera went out in my 2018 Platinum last week. Dealer can't find the part from Ford and has opened a case against it. I've called Ford and opened my own case and the regional director is supposed to call me Monday, Jan 7th by EOD. How can Ford not have this part. Dealer said it's possible they are having problems with this camera and are waiting for a different vendor. Sounds weird to me as Ford is still building Platinums. When I was on the phone with Ford CS, they confirmed that the front camera part is unavailable. With a faulty camera I have no active collision assist, no lane assist, no cruise control, no park assist. Every time I start the truck I get two warning messages, "Front Camera Malfunction" and "Pre Collision Assist Unavailable".

Anyone ever seen this? Anyone ever had a problem with Ford supplying a part?

I am not belittling your issues, just made me think about the old days, manual windows, manual transmission, no cruise and no "assist" anything. How did we survive?

True that. I'm not a Cadillac fan, but my parents own one that is about 20 years old and the leather is still wonderful, soft and supple with absolutely no cracks and the interior smells fantastic. I don't get it. I would expect a 20 year old car to smell... well... old.

And the car has 250,000+ miles so it does get used quite a bit. Had its fair share of typical air suspension and ac blower regulator repairs, but the engine and transmission is 100% original with no internal repairs.

its backordered, I see it on almost a daily basis. Sounds like the dealer is doing what they can to find out why its backordered

I have a 2018 King Ranch with the 600A package and I do NOT have power step boards, thank goodness! I bought the vehicle in May2018 and only have 3000 miles. So far the seats are fine. I traded in a 2013 150 Lariat with 30K miles and my seats in that were fine also. Strangely, I did experience water puddling once this past summer on my drivers side front below my gas pedal. My Weathertech mats prevented any water soaking the rug. I've experienced no water issues since. Only thing I can think of is that there may have been something blocking the drain line but obviously it has cleared itself. I never open my pano roof. Came with the vehicle otherwise would not have ordered it. I have the 3.5 eco and overall I'm very pleased with the truck.
