Still plenty of 2018 lariats on the lot. Guess I'll wait a few more years though til they work the kinks out.

Yeah, this isn't as much of an issue for me since I have plenty of other problems with mine that surpass this in terms of severity. However, it makes me feel stupid for paying what I did for such horsesh** quality. I ended up buying a set of Wet Okole custom seat covers and despite them being a complete PITA to put on and remove, I still condition our seats regularly. When our truck was going through its final repair inspection, they blamed us for the problem by saying it was because we were sliding out of the seat rather than lifting ourselves up. They completely ignored the TSB from 2015 that said that this was a problem and should be fixed under warranty....for 2015's. With the conditioning and seat covers, the wrinkle has not gotten worse and has in fact improved a bit. Just irritates me that a vehicle with 25,000 miles has seats that look like a vehicle with much higher mileage. We also don't use our seat heaters/AC because of the fact that it works like crap and most likely helps to dry out the leather and exacerbate the problem. Our truck is probably one of the very few that has an *** print that's relatively small.

Also...I don't think it's just the leather. The cushion does not seem to hold its shape as well in that area of the seat when compared to the other side.

Maybe the problem isn't the seat, but your butt! Stop the Superman farts, maybe they will last longer.

So I have 2018 xlt 2.7/10, 302a, 4x4.

Brand new order from KC in July 2018, built in June.....Everything great, love the engine, super mileage, alls well until weather got cold, below 0 degrees C. First time at -4C ( about 24F ), front drivers door wont open, then after entering the pass side, got the door open then would not stay shut ( apparently as I find out this is quite common)...dealer put new part in ??.

On the same day get to first corner and brake pedal is soft and spongy, with a little extra pressure it goes to the floor, truck stops fine though...dealer say this is normal, yet as it warms up the pedal returns to normal feel, seems this thing does not like the cold.Maybe should have got it built in DRB but last truck was from KC. Dealer says they are interacting with ford ?? This same thing with the door and the brakes has repeated itself on every day the temp has been -4 or colder, the colder the more spongy the pedal is.
To sum up, I really like this truck but come on ford engineers, what the heck is going on there, you guys forget the basic engineering spec tenets or what ??????

2018 XLT. I think my dashboard is warped too. But not by the vents. There's a hump on the passenger side seam on top where I think it should be a graceful curve. At first I thought it was intentional. But the more I look at the more it doesn't look right. Also the tray above the glovebox is warped...but that was the case in every F-150 I looked at. And the doors need to be slammed shut pretty hard to latch. Kind of unbelievable the best selling truck in the land has so many build quality issues I have yet to see mentioned in any review. Obviously those are hand picked by Ford.

The rear seat isn't right either, the driver 2/3 side sits up about and inch higher than the passenger side 1/3. And I can't turn off the damn auto locks, a feature which Ford evidently just forgot on random trucks.

Oh and also I haven't yet managed to get more than 17 MPG on the interstate (74 MPH) with my 2.7 4x4 Crew. In fact I think I'm averaging more in town than on the highway. I'm wondering if maybe my grill shutters aren't working or something. I didn't expect to hit EPA numbers, but I did figure I could hit 20. It's cold though with winter gas so not giving up yet.

Truck has been a ball of ice here in Minnesota for the past week, and still no door lock issues, so that's good. I thought those were fixed with the recall when I bought it, had I known I probably wouldn't have, that's really an inexcusable issue and shows utterly incompetent engineering. I'm supposed to believe a company that can't figure out door latch problems in 4 years can engineer a good direct injected twin turbo? Color me skeptical.

Overall not impressed with the build quality so far. Noticeably worse than our Town & Country. And that says something. Maybe the worst I've seen since the 80's. If it's reliable, I may forgive Ford. Or not. Honestly, my 06 was built like crap too and continuously fell apart after 70K but pricing lured me in again. Well that and the fact that it is still built in the USA. Call me a sentimental fool I guess, we'll see.

wow. Anyone who says that you haven’t used the seat properly is just unbelievable. a display of pure arrogance, this and my experience would lead me to suspect they may have training to act in this manner. Hard to believe someone in their position would feel so bold to suggest they could possibly have such knowledge.

FWIW my ‘09 Lariat had no leather problems you describe. Sounds like they changed something.

I use to wonder if the King Ranch leather was actually anything different than what is used on the other models. From what I have seen from the my 2013, 2015 and now my 15 month old 2018, it does seem to hold up better. I do pamper my leather but I do a lot of short trips and so there is a lot of getting in and out of the vehicle. More than what my mileage represents.

I have seen some other late model King Ranch and so far all have looked as good as mine has so far. The King Ranch does come standard with the power step boards, which I do use getting in and out of my truck. That could help with less heavy butt dragging across the leather all the time.

I will also say the heating/cooling feature in these seats work waaaay better than they did in my 2015.

My wife has a 2017 Lexus Rx and her leather is not holding up as well and mine is.
