Default Brand new 2018 f150 crewcab with frozen latches

I brought it in to the dealer for repair two days ago and they informed me that they could not duplicate the issue. They also informed me that Ford re-engineered the latch mechanism shortly after the start of the 2018 build and that my truck has the new latches in it so there should be a problem. Unfortunately, the latch froze open again this morning. I am waiting to here back from the dealer.
I have a new 2018 f150 crew, and all 4 doors are having frozen latch issues, either the door won't unlock when i press the fob, or more often the door won't latch after i open it. This has happened mulitple times when it gets in the 20's here in Rochester NY. Now What??

yes, my brand new f150 crew, that has a VIN number that is 'post recall range' has every damn door freezing . Either the door won't unlock, or it won't latch once i try to close the door. UGH

I didn’t either initially , it takes time for the truck to adjust the long term fuel and spark maps to the new fuel octane . After 2 weeks of running 93 top tier Valero or Mobil my truck was noticeably stronger, especiially the low end and mid range torque. From a dig, once the torque management los over at about 5 mph, in 4wd hi range it literally walked away from my buddies Ram that it always beat but not nearly that bad on 87 octane . The torque difference is very apparent. With that said I’m back on 87 octane most of the time for day driving when not towing for financial reasons there’s a 75 cent. A gallon difference here . Wish I could run E85

I've got an 18, 12.0:1. It ran on 87 and I did not experience detonation knock, but felt the difference with 93. Ymmv.

It's interesting you brought up that it's stronger running.
I just had the transmission TSB and coincidentally put 93 in.
I was assuming it was the tsb that made it feel like it had a little more pull in the 0 to 30 mph range. Maybe it's been a little of both all along.

I got it on the ford pass app. When I called Ford Service to book an appointment for another different issue (the 'deceleration rattle') they weren't even aware of the recall for the engine block heater wire assembly yet. Told me they will let me know about a fix....maybe in the form of a letter...

as of right now it is only an inspect and grease the cord, if your cord is found to have melting you get put on a waiting list until parts become available

this sums it up if your cord fails(they are checking the inline connector specifically)

My brand new truck has been in the shop for 12 days so far, I was told today the tuck will be ready on Wednesday December 26th putting it at the day 17 mark of being at the dealership. A while ago I received a notification on my FordPass App telling me that there is a Parking Aid Malfunction. What the f**k could be causing this? The service dpt is closed til Wednesday and now I have to tell them about this Wednesday morning.
