I have a similar 'issue'... I think. I have 1000Kms (620 mi.) on an XLT Super Crew, 3.5L Eco

When in auto shut off mode - and coming to a long stop...the engine seems to shutter or studder (lol...pic one) like it is fighting with the computer...the computer tries to shut the engine off and the engine says 'NO - not yet'. If that makes any sense.

Re-start is fine though, very sensitive to the slightest brake movement and she fires up right away.

Not convinced yet that the Auto Shut-Off is a proven system, and pretty sure this is where the problem lies.

I also have the same studder at 40-50 MPH - still investigating.

Next step is I'm going to shut it off and see if it makes a difference. I'll report my findings.

2018 Lariat SCrew 3.5 EB . About 4 months old, had a couple of very minor issues on delivery, the most significant of which was a blue wire slightly peeking out of the trim around the exterior driver side door handle (wire was misrouted apparently and looped around a screw). Also a couple of screw covers on the grab handles were loose or open. Overall very trouble free and high initial quality.

2018 w/ 11K miles (purchased last Oct.)

Anyone else noticing excessive paint chipping? I live in CO, drive a lot of gravel, and get the occasional small rock to the front of the truck but the paint seems to be more susceptible to chips than any other vehicle I've ever owned.

Should I just keep touching them up or take it up with Ford?

I would have thought this truck would have been a bit tougher than it is in terms of the paint job.

After shutting engine off and restarting, navi worked properly and cell phone connected.
this has happened to mine twice in the 10 weeks I’ve owned mine too.

My last update in here was at 7500km/4300 miles back in June. Now at 12,000km or 7400 miles and almost ready for it's second service, what a summer it's been. Commuting, towing, hauling, off-road, donuts in fields, buried in mud and just general truck stuff. It hasn't given me a SINGLE thing to complain about.

I've definitely used it for more truck duty than any of my previous F-150's and it continues to impress me more and more with everything I throw at it. I mean literally everything I throw at it. I piece of firewood slipped out of my hand the other week and slammed into the side of the bed leaving nothing but a scuff I power polished out later. Lol

Awesome rig!!

Thumbs up

18 Platinum ,super crew, 3.5. Bought in April an has 10,200 miles on it now.. Have to get it to the dealer for "technology" fixes. Lane changing and a few other things. They have been screwed up for a while but just didn't have the time to get back to the dealer till now. Happy with it . Dog loves it to. 19.6 MPG according to the trip mode. Old 10 F150 V8 was 15/17..

Only about 1200 miles on the rig but noticed the other day as I was putting in Pace Edward Jackrabbit tonneau, the inside of the bed box has a gap of up to .020 between the sides of the bed and floor.
As a retired Quality Manager for the largest commercial aircraft company in the US you kinda notice these things. Headed to the dealer in the morning to speak with them about it. The tonneau protects the bed but it just doesn’t look right. Not real happy about not having wheel well liners in the rear either.
Yes, I noticed this too with mine! Large gaps between the floor, & sides of bed. The dealer I purchased it from applied a spray in bedliner. I have the 6.5 foot box, & it must be 8-10 inches on each side near the cab, that I can see the light shining through from the trouble light laying on the garage floor.

Also sent Oil Analysis away, & have a high level of fuel dilution when oil was changed at 80% life remaining!

My Line X installer caulked the side seems before spraying in the liner.

People can scoff all they want about the aluminum. I've hit my door twice that no doubt would've left my 14 with a ding/dent in the door and this truck took it like a champ with zero damage.
Until, I hopefully never get in an accident.. I've been impressed so far with strength of the aluminum.
