2018 looking sweeter

I've been holding out for a 2018 Limited (or loaded Plat if Navy Pier ends up being as UGLY as it looks on the pics) due to the various upgrades and it looks like the 3.5EB MAY be getting even better. There is a video on YT where one of the Ford folks says when asked about the 3.5 EB that "we are always looking to improve" <--slightly paraphrased.

Now this.....

See last paragraph.

400 hp and 480 lb-ft of torque perhaps.

Fingers crossed!!!

Not happening. I wouldn't trust anything by Fox news anyway, especially automotive news.

"Rumored", and "potential". Don't hold your breath. Would be nice though. But I wish I would have noticed that link was for Fox News or I wouldn't have bothered clicking it...

Here's the source to calm everyone down before someone hacks up an organic homeopathic chia seed. I tried looking up something on MSNBC but every time I tried to enter the site I got a Chris Matthews "thrill up my leg". LOL!

I do recall the video where a Ford rep did hint at an improvement for 2018. I think it was the FLT page.

Every little bit of power helps! :-)

Even then, it says "potentially good for 400 hp" which it probably is, and probably means with a tune and some bolt ons. So they're talking about maxed out, which Ford will not do in a mass-produced vehicle.

Sounds like it will be able to blow the oil out of the engine twice as fast as the current 365HP can.

2017 already has the 2nd generation 3.5L paired with the 10 speed. I am surely happy with mine.

I am new on here, but me and the wife have started looking at trucks and full size SUVs to replace a Ford Flex. Once the 2018 model information started coming out we narrowed our choice to a new F150 or the 2018 Expedition. Well, I happened to check out the Canadian site and they did have the power numbers listed at 400 HP and 480 lb-ft. They have taken it down since then and replaced with the same power comment as the American site. So I think there might be some truth to the rumor.
