I am impressed with how quiet they are from road and wind noise. You can hear every squeak and rattle inside now!

MN, are you sure those are Lariat seats? Those look like the Platinum seats when you look on Ford's website. Their Lariat interior pics look like the same as previous models.

The only real way to know is with the butt test. I would compare at the nearest dealer but of the 10 2018's they have on their site, all are XLT and one Raptor. They are also in transit, so they don't actually have them on the lot yet.

My 2017 Lariat 502A seats look EXACTLY like those pictured. With only 6k on the odometer, I can't really comment on "wrinkles"....but, I can say - my seat coolers work FANTASTIC.
I live in TX; and it gets so cold I have to turn it down.
My hypothesis is that they work well because of the perforations in the seats. I noticed the platinums don't have that....and, have no idea how a seat cooler could work well without perforations. According the thread/s - they don't
As a related aside, I wish more manufacturers would go to a synthetic product. The Mercedes MBTex is better than leather in my opinion.
It feels just like leather, but wears so much better. You can find cars with MBTex and 80k miles - seats look brand new.
(no idea on cost diff, assume high or others would follow)

Some dealers I know won't deal on factory orders because they may not be incentivized to. There's no car on their lot so they aren't warehousing any risk, meaning they don't "need" to move the car.
