Default 2018 Lane Keeping?!?!

Recently purchased a 2018 CrewCab, package came with Lane Keeping option.

Had past vehicles from other makes with Lane Keeping; found the one on the Ford F150 is huge disappointment. The Lane Keeping in the Ford does very little to keep the vehicle within the "Lanes" and even though the dash had "Green" indicators, the truck does not keep within the lanes. Yes, I totally understand that Lane Keeping is NOT a self-drive however my past vehicles did such a better job and I found them to be very dependable in those "just in case" times.

Am I the only one who have found this option a joke?

Once I found the "off" button on the center console, that is the position that I keep this feature in my truck. It may work for the person that programed this feature because that is how they drive, but in real life, I don't want my truck where the computer thinks it should be when going around a turn.

I don't think it is a complete joke, more like a chuckle. It does little to keep me from exiting the lane while driving in a straight lane, but it is pretty aggressive when going through a curve. And of course it is dependent whether the indicator is grey, yellow or green. I do find that it is not always green when I think it should be, a nice solid white lane marker. I do wonder why it is only active at 40 mph or above, why not at slower speeds?

Agreed. My Hyundai Genesis was fantastic at lane keeping. This truck... Not so much.

I just remembered, there was a couple other threads like this and they had ford do some kind of calibration procedure and for some it worked great, others still bitched about it.

I only use it to help me hold my lane while eating a cheese burger and fries.

Roads here are snow packed, icey and show no lane markings.
Theres also no palm trees here!

Lane keeping to me is a highway thing. Ill turn it on when travelling longer highway distances. In city...forget it!
