I must be different. I keep my eyes on the road no matter what the electrons think.

Isn't the front console door there to hide an open beer? Regardless, I'm fine drinking, hold my lane better than sober, I swear. Time for someone to pretend they are offended.

Wife's Acura RDX lane keeping AND blind spot during signal is infinitely better than my new 2018 Plat. Which is a bummer. Even the Accident pre-warning is meh. The Acura warning is lame, the Ford is obvuobv, when it actually warns you. Ford Adap cruise works well. I don't want (well I do) self driving, but I should be able to have a little more faith in the system in case of an issue. When the steering does correct (like I've let it go on purpose to test it), the correction is abrupt. Maybe an algorithm update someday, Ford?

They complain about the increase in collisions caused by distracted drivers, but they keep selling these features that give people 'excuses' as to why they allow themselves to be distracted or inattentive while driving...……….

hmm.

barring a full autopilot, the only thing these systems breed is complacency and laziness.

yea... not a fan either. My only real complaint is in curves. Seems to create a somewhat strong (jerky) adjustment if the driver does not keep it precisely between the lines... wife gives me looks! Her Acura is not much better though, with nagging beeps. If I choose to hold a narrower margin on one side of my lane to give space to large trucks, etc. in the next lane, then I'd appreciate a little less correction from the LKA. Personally... IMO the programming is immature, just like the shift logic in the 10-speed is/was. The hardware is there... the programming could be a bit less abrupt in its correction and navigate the truck along the same margin the driver placed it in and if LKA insists on placing the truck in the center of the lane, make any adjustments a bit more gradually when it can tell the driver is not actively placing it otherwise. It also insists I need to 'Keep Hands on Wheel' in certain straight sections in my commute down I65, my hands and attention are right there. So.... like some of you, i just stopped using it. FORD are you listening??? I have a fair amount of valuable feedback on the ACC if you want to hear it, it's good 85% of the time... but there is room for improvement.

I'll be honest...I was pissed about LKA not working either (mine actually liked to jerk the wheel so much that it would put me in the next lane). Then I realized that all I had to do to stay in my lane is pay attention and hold the wheel. What a concept right? I mean...how did we stay in our lane all these years before lane keeping assistance? It's a worthless "feature" and encourages bad habits. My next truck will not have it.
