2018 F150 V6 on dealers lot - not V8

I have seen some on lots on cars.com.
It seems in my area the Ecoboost engine is harder to find in 2017 models still on the lots. This leads me to believe that they are more popular on the higher end trucks in this area.

The 2.7L Ecoboost trucks were all lower end XL models.
Now at the dealer I bought my wifes car, they are really small and only have 6500 lbs GVWR 2.7L Ecoboost 4WD Screws. I said you obviously cater to the grocery getter crowd. But they only have a total of maybe 20 or 30 trucks compared to about 300 trucks at my other dealer. My truck dealers inventory is all mixed, Reg cab, Scab, 2WD, XL, SXT, XLT, Lariat, King Ranch, Platinum, Limited. My choice was a 301a XLT w/o sport or chrome packages (not a fan of either), Screw 4WD 5.0L with 3.73 gears. I did not want what the upper models had, not a fan of leather or fake wood, moonroofs, or geewiz features.

My 2 local dealers have 7 total in stock (3 & 4 respectively) and there are 4 Raptors (2 each), 1 - 3.3L V6 at one, and 2 -3.5L EB's at the other one.

They only make like a million trucks a year, I'm pretty sure you can get whatever you want if it's an allowable option combination.
