Just bought a 2018 F150 and it didn't come with tow mirrors. So I purchased part numbers FL3Z17682AC and FL3Z17683AC from Ford and it was plug and play.

Options that came with my truck:

302a
Voice activated navi
max trailer
fx3
led side spotlights
xlt power group
and xlt sport package

i searched the par numbers here in canada via local online ford dealer and they are 1200 each canadian for those parts
you dont need to tell but are they that expensive in the USA

Looks good. So essentially you have al of the options of the factory mirrors but autodim and BLIS. Drives me nuts that you cannot get these with BLIS. On the 2017 and up it works with a trailer so why exclude it or not offer a manual version that works with it as well. I'd buy them literally tomorrow if they had that option. Power folding and such is nice but I really don't care. Convinced the FORD accessory groups is run by a bunch of idiots.

Does anyone know if the tow mirrors can be installed on a regular cab short bed ? Can option them on a regular cab long bed, but not the short bed.

If your truck came from Ford with BLIS, you can get after market mirrors with BLIS. My XLT could be optioned with tow mirrors, or it could be optioned with regular mirrors with BLIS. I got the regular mirror with BLIS, then bought a set of Trail Ridge tow mirrors from 1AAUTO with BLIS, and all of the other features that my factory mirrors had except auto-dim. It was plug-n-play.
