Default 2018 F150 Rear ended by driver with no insurance

Yesterday I was rear ended by a driver with no insurance. I was pushed into another truck which cause the front end to be completely destroyed, rear end was not bad since the Honda accord that hit me slid under the bumper and shoved me forward. I do not want to keep a brand new truck that has not even seen its first oil change after it has been wrecked but I know my options are limited here and I doubt they will total it out for me. Any suggestions?

Not sure where you located but in Illinois you have to carry insurance. It won't help you out but make sure the guy loses his license over it. After that its up to your insurance on if its totaled or not.

I hope you have good insurance amounts for under/uninsured motorists...or you may be paying out of pocket depending on the damage done

I would think your uninsured motorist insurance would cover everything? Don't know if that's a total but I'd sure try to get it totalled. What a COS and WTF are these morons driving around without insurance? Connecticut tends to look the other way or take forever to yank the registration WHEN they discover a vehicle is not insured. I know in MA the insurance company has to immediately inform DMV of insurance suspension, but not in Connecticut. So you can guess what happens....

Scumbags get insurance for a short time, drop it then continue to drive without it. The state sort of "looks the other way" and you can guess why they do..... Puts everyone with insurance at risk because the state fails to do their job!!!

I feel really bad for you on this one! Accident on a new vehicle is bad enough but to get hit by a dirtbag without insurance is the pits!! Best of luck with this horror show but please let us know what happens.......

Wow how fast was that Honda going ?
That's a lot of energy transfer to do that to the front of your truck !
Got any pics of the back or the Honda? (saw you just posted them)

Glad you are ok !

Sue him for everything you can. That dude should be in jail till he can figure out a way to pay you and you be driving a brand new vehicle. I wish i could afford full coverage.

It was a 20 year old girl with a license that had been expired since 2015. She was doing about 40 and locked up just before hitting me.
