Default 2018 F150 - Possible to add Sync Connect and 4GLTE Wifi?

My truck was born without - XLT with all the other options including 302a/large screen but no sync connect and wifi.

Does Ford make an add on for it?

Thanks

What are you trying to accomplish?

Get remote start?

Find your vehicle?

Pay big monthly fee for a hotspot?

No no and no.

Need 4G hotspot for kids. $20 a month not hearing your kids whining is nothing.

No option to just add that service to your phone and turn it on when they're in the truck?

It is but I'd much rather have the hotspot in the vehicle so I dont have to mess with turning it on everytime in and out of the truck,

Extra steps with little people must be avoided if possible.

I could have sworn I saw another guy on here trying to get remote start via his phone that said his dealer was able to add wifi but I cant find the thread.

There is no way to do what you want to do, i.e. add a hotspot without adding (and paying for) remote start, lock/unlock, locate vehicle.

I can't comprehend why it's so hard to hit a button on your phone to turn on your WiFi hotspot feature, but that's your only other option to my knowledge.

The cheapest you're going to pay is $335 for the Smartlink. Maybe you'll find it cheaper, but that's about as cheap as it comes right now.
That will include 2 years of start/stop/unlock/locate (from your phone), but not wifi (it does come with a month for free).
I did the initial setup myself, but still had to pay a dealer $75 to program with IDS. And it took me over 2 weeks to find one to do it.

Ford really botched this whole rollout. I had some dealers that would only sell and install Smartlink through them. One wanted $385, and that did NOT include 2 years of telematic services. So, basically, good luck trying to find a dealer that knows anything about Smartlink or the pricing. It seems like they can just do whatever they want with the pricing now anyway...

As others have said, if it's only wifi you want, adding that service to your phone plan on your phone will be cheaper than the Ford way.
