Broke down and bought a set off the Ebay, much brighter. Came with the '18 Blis sensors. Would really like to see the '18 blis work on earlier Trucks though

Now just gotta get trailer blis to work

I installed the 2018 Leds with BLIS also but can't get ForScan to see the BLIS modules just yet.

What tool do y'all use to get those harness white screw retainers out of the frame? I tried using my plastic trim removal tools but almost broke them!

I have a metal trim removal tool that worked. You just have to work them around in a circle. Font try and pry them out in one pull

Bought a set of 18 LED tail lights today. I have a 17 XLT 302A non LED/:BLIS. I know I can go with the WPT-1279 harness, but before I commit to splicing, is the GLZ3Z-13A409-AF harness for both sides (meaning I would only need one)? They are only $40 versus 24 per side for the WPT-1279s. I have also seen JLZ and HLZ harnesses. Not sure which one I need. I am not trying to get BLIS to work, just the lights. I have read a lot, and still am not for certain about the harness.

If yours is not an '18 it's my understanding you need the earlier BLIS modules, At least until someone smarter than me figures out how to update the Trucks firmware to accept the newer blis settings

Another 2018 XLT upgraded to 18 LED tail lights. I would like to thank everyone on this forum for sharing such a vast amount
of info, knowledge and expertise. I would like to thank also our friends Jon Diethelm and Ryan B for making this upgrade an easy job as well, headlights are coming next.

2018's are a single plug. I just rewired my truck last with the pig tail harness to fit the 2018 LED's on my 2016 XLT

since i haven't seen it mentioned yet i want to chime in and say that i have 18 blis lights and modules in my 17 and they are working. i also did not need to run any wires along the body to get blis working. i added the 18 taillight harness and lights at the same time as a raptor wheel and when i went to change the button mapping for the wheel i noticed the modules were there. i mad all the necessary changes and programed the vin leaving everything else on the sodl/r alone and its working.
