OMG, thanks for the chuckle....i literally LOL'ed at the "Truck stalls at every stop light" hahaha. Didn't you wonder how it magically restarted when you released the brake?
(I find it interesting how little research is done by many buyers pre purchase. For $50K, I want to know what I'm getting, what it does, whether I need it or not, and what I'm not getting, especially since I'm in it every day and will be for 10 years.....but apparently, many just go buy a truck at the local dealer.)

The phone and truck were and are paired, the icon is still there.
I dont know much about the truck because I didnt know I was going to purchase one. My 7.3 failed so I had to buy a new truck that day. I drove it straight home from the dealer there aren't any stop signs or signals in the praire.
next time I drove it was to work. One stop light and it turned off. It did not restart because I didn't remove my foot from the break. I put it in park/restarted. I had to call the dealer to find out why it was stalling. I couldn't RTFM because it was at home where I had been reading it. Guess I hadn't got to the stop/start part.

Right. Thats a tough call. I have, ahem, found myself traveling off the highway in a avoidance incident, and encountered a tree. The impact may have killed the tree. I suspect such an impact may very well have triggered tha auto 911 call. Upon examining the situation, as I was the only one involved, I decided to just...leave. I felt no police involvement was needed. Having that feature enabled would have thrown a real wrench into that plan I'd think, or had the potential to.
On the other hand, in that exact same scenario, the impact with the tree could have injured me and help might have been good, in spite of the complications.
So, it's a judgement call. However I expect many here with loved one regularly in the car, will find it to be a no brainer.

Just pairing it isn't enough. You need to go into the sync menu and enable the function. http://www.fordservicecontent.com/Fo...userMarket=USA
thank you again for the help.
