Bearing material contamination in the top end. Rod bearing from cylinder #6 let go. May have been hard use, bad oil, low oil, defect, over-rev etc. One never really knows.

Just an update to you guys regarding this horrible F150 V8 5.0 noise. I talked to a different service advisor while doing two safety recall services on this 2018 F150. He put the engine noise concern down. I didn't get anyone to do anything you guys mentioned above (check cylinder, oil pressure etc). The next day, the service advisor told me they found a TSB and flashed/ reprogrammed my truck. The number is TSB18-2354. It seems quiet it down a lot now.

was told by first dealer it’s normal got appointment for March 5 at second dealer ship sent videos of knock to corporate with request to buy back was told by ford corporate they denied my buy back and want to fix the truck and they was working with the dealership here in the Florida panhandle the same dealership who told me it was normal lol took it to a machine shop here and let them listen to it they think it’s in the cam either way it sounds like crap and isn’t normal for a bran new gas engine
