That made me realize research in the dealership is as important as the vehicle. Enjoy, they are really sweet trucks.
So why does each truck vary--isnt it all the same coming down the line

Frustrated that they supposedly have QC people that think that is acceptable. You watch videos of people with gloves checking the vehicle. I realize they mass produce the thing and people are imperfect but this is not a new issue and could have been caught.

Same, platinum:

1.) Custom Ambient Lights: wtf here, now I have these super dim ice blue lights, not sure why but after laser eye surgery it annoys the hell out of my eyes because it’s a light that’s barely visible so at night it gives me some eye strain, also they’re so dim what’s the point?

2. Easy entry: nailed it, just a few inches

3.) build quality: nothing like yours mines prestige except one but one screw on the roof, otherwise I’ve gone over the thing and not even a panel is not lined up.

4.) mine seems to feel like it’s sitting low.......

otherwise absoluty perfect truck, miss the kick, now she’s just smooth as butter

I agree with you 100%, I think if Ford was going to remove that seem cover to save a few penny's they should have required a smooth acceptable bead of sealer be there before painting. In 15 almost everyone posted about it and there was a huge variance/degrees of beads being laid down. To me the most important part is the front near the windshield and that is where mine looked the worst on the 2015. My 18 is still not perfect but very acceptable.

I would also just keep the truck, after I forgot about it, I quite looking at it and just accepted it. Didn't bother me anymore after that for was hard to see.

Good point, you are probably right, some outdated DOT rule not kept up to date. I could not believe they had ever other bulb switched to LED but that one, didn't make since to me.

I miss that ability to change the ambient color too. You can increase and decrease the brightness though. I had my 15 on one of the reds and liked that better. Reminded me of our the Army night lights we had for getting your eyes use to night vision.

no sticker or any other indication here....

oh oh an item 5 and 6

5.) Auto Headlights: worked so much better on my 16, notice if a car is crossing your way, my 16 seemed to see that, the 18 doesn’t do anything till it’s crossing right in front

6.) the pre collision alert, it works at 10-15 feet? I mean I’m already right up their *** when it kicks in. I set to high and tested a few things but up until I’m right up their as sit doesn’t do anything......

I usually turn this off, I did on my 16. Ford needs to improve this by not turning on until you activate the high beams one time on the stalk first.

I marked it on the photo, there is an up and down for brightness.

Other photo shows my roof seal which I'm ok with but not perfect.
