2018 F-150 Momentary loss of acceleration
I have a 2018 F-150 Platinum (4x4, 3.5L Ecoboost) with 79K miles. Since they day I bought it in 2018 with 11 miles, its done this thing where when I leave my house in the morning and give it gas down my street it suddenly loses acceleration for like 1 second and then everything is fine for the rest of the drive. Dealer said they could not duplicate. So I have just lived with it.
Yesterday morning I left my house and it did it as usual, but this time it lost acceleration for like 5 seconds. Pressing the pedal did absolutely nothing. Totally dead. Engine was just idling. Then all of a sudden it started working again.
Anyone experience this and/or know what the issue might be?

My 2019 lariat has done this (though only twice). Keep an eye on what gear your transmission is in when this happens. This is visible in the left side of the tachometer in a vertical stack window. If you can't see it, push the manual shift button on your gear selector and it will appear. When this happens to me, my transmission goes from 4th to 1st then back to 4th. On the down shift though it says first I seem to loose power for a moment. This has only happened at low speed, around 10-15MPH. Not sure what causes it, possibly cold fluid or blocked fluid passage. These transmissions are known for various issues.
