Looks like removing the front cover (17E810C) might be an option too.

I dremeled 2 square holes in the plastic in order to frame-mount my bull bar on my 2WD F-150.

You are missing the rubber covers that seal up the valance hole around the tow hooks. I install the tow hooks to my 2016 Lariat 4X2. Keeps the frame clean and makes a much more finished look.

these would work:

Coming behind those covers would work, but there is a plate that goes behind the fog lamps and it covers where you would gain entry to the rails at. You could drill through that to get an opening though if I recall correctly. I opted to just drop the bumper. As stated, its only 3 screws. Plus I had to drop the bumper to change out the lower cover.

Glad you linked these. I asked at my dealer and he couldn't find a part #, then said that they weren't used on the 18's any longer. I didn't have time to go verify if that was true or not. I was just gonna search a junk yard for them.

I just picked up the covers. I had to drop the front bumper to install them unfortunately since I reused the non-towhook valance, which leaves much smaller tow hook openings. I thought twice about installing them, but I decided to move forward just because they do deflect airflow as designed. The part numbers for 2018 F150s are:

Right - JL3Z-9901926-AA
Left - JL3Z-9901927-AA

What dealer did you use Donjuan? What did they run you? I’m in your same area, Woodlands, but I work near Cypress.

I picked them up at Russell Smith Ford. They had them in stock. Be nice to them and see if they will match their website prices at their counter to save on shipping. Their parts department is off almeda and 610.

Default Help!

[QUOTE=Donjuan2002;5788840]
I haven’t seen this posted, so I figured I would post this in case someone is considering doing this. I just bought a 2018 f150 STX without front towing hooks. I got the towing hooks off eBay and modified the front stock lower valance. Looks factory after installation!

[/ I am attempting this right now and have to buy a new valets with the boot holes already cut out including separate boots to go back in. Is there anyway you can call me sometime today I have a few quick questions. 813-390-4497. Promise I won't be long and I just have a few questions. Thanks Robert Draper in Lutz FloridaQUOTE]

Default Sorry don't know how to PM. I bought the valets that you add the boots to they go aro

About the The new valance that already has the holes in it for the boots that go around the tow hooks. When I started to take everything apart I could not get access to the old valance bolts they were hidden a few of them behind the bumper Which I did not want to try and take off. I cut holes in the Tow hook area since the 18 doesn't have rwmovable boots in the areas where the tow hooks would be. Now I can't get access to the end of the frame to put the nut anchor in For the bolts to attach the tow hooks. In will be no boots around the tow hooks. Hope that hasn't messed with any dirt get into the engine or any wind difference in miles per gallon. And I now have 2 holes with no access to get the nut anchor in the frame for the bolts to attach the tow hooks. Thoughts?
