2018: Adding Adaptive Cruise Control
Ok, so I completed the installation and am stuck with a B1433:54 code for the CCM alignment......now to just get past this. I will say that I explored different ways to replace the wiring harness and removing the bumper was the best way. It sounds intimidating but isn't difficult and I did this by myself, the bumper isn't all that heavy and if you have an impact wrench it comes off easily. Putting it back on just use the marks on the rear nuts and it'll go right back on in the same place. I did find removing the air diverter (I have a 3.5 ECO) made it a lot easier. Just be careful releasing the clips on the top, they aren't easy. I also found that changing CCM 764-02-01 through -04 are your VIN converted to HEX like you may already know but the '18's are a little different than the '15's-'17's. The first two digits of -01 don't change (Mine are 12) as do the last two that are the checksums. So start with the first four of your VIN converted to HEX after, in my case after 12 then carry them on through -04 in all positions except the last two checksums. You'll only use the last three of your VIN in -04. -05 doesn't change and mine is all 0's except the checksum that is 71. Here's a link to a HEX conversion site. I've played with the BCM modifications and end up with an ABS and two IPMA codes but will cross that bridge later once I get the CCM calibrated.....Come on ForScan!! I am also assuming that the ABS controller and module will need to be changed as there is a different part number for trucks with adaptive cruise/collision avoidance. The ABS part is only about $350 so not too big of a deal but I'm not crazy about breaking open my brake lines. I also came across this that makes comparing VIN's quite easy and helpful if you don't already have it. https://drive.google.com/file/d/0Bw7...lfb0luQ1E/view Another interesting site that may be helpful. http://www.etis.ford.com/home.do

Thanks for the update, SVO. I haven't posted here for quite a while, but I'm still watching with interest. My truck is an XLT or else I would probably have become the guinea pig for this, but I decided to let a Lariat owner go first, since the Lariat owners seem to have more of the necessary ingredients than XLTs.
I'm really excited for you that you are so close, and since others have calibrated their systems with Forscan, I have to assume you will be able to as well?
Saturday, we traded our 16 Fusion Energi for a 19 (Energi is automatically a Titanium and comes with adaptive cruise) and one of the first things I did on the drive home is experiment with it (stop-and-go) and it works great, although it brakes a bit later (and harder) than I normally do, which made me nervous - but I'll get used to it, I'm sure.
Thanks again for stepping up and for keeping us all posted!

Posted this on the other adaptive cruise control thread, but will post here as well.
The 2019 F150's come standard with emergency braking and the automatic headlights, even down to the XL trucks. I'm curious if those trucks have all the required hardware, and only need it to be enabled in the software.
Any thoughts?

Livinitup posted this in the other adding ACC thread, figured I'd post it over here for those that have installed the parts on their 2018.
