"U" error codes are communication errors within and/or with other modules. It could be a value in another module (CCM, PCM, IMPA) is your ACC working?

You have to replace the ABS module and program the new one.

Take a look at my how to earlier in the thread with all parts and the process for install and programming.

Not sure if this is any different from 2019's, but my 19 XLT had the appropriate ABS module from the factory however it obviously did not have ACC and could not be configured for ACC W/ Stop n Go. I had to purchase another ABS module from Ford (same part number) and use FJDS to program it.

Long story short, just because you have the same module already installed, if you didn't already have ACC with SnG, you will need to source a new ABS module from Ford and program it at the dealer (if they will) or do it yourself with FJDS.

It may look the same, but it does not have the correct software. The procedure I have outlined is the only way to activate ACC. A new "blank" module needs to be flashed by Ford software.
The resourceful members here over many years have not been able to determine how to re-flash an existing ABS module. By taking firmware from an ACC unit, etc.

I suggest reading through my instructions in detail.

So I've done all the required mods on my 18 Lariat Powerstroke to add ACC except the ABS module. Long story short I bought a new ABS module last summer and brought to the dealer to have them install and do the PMI (they said they would not enable ACC because of liability issues) so they did the swap but the ACC module was "defective" in their view and they reinstalled the original ABS module and the truck return to factory with the exception of LKA, Pre-collision and distance indication all that I enabled through forscan. I bought yet another ABS module from an online Ford dealer and attempted yesterday to program it myself with FJDS. Long story short after several attempts the the PMI progressed to the point where the programming bar (after 10 min) finished and then it said "programming failed would you like to try again?" I said yes same results. Battery maintainer was on = 12.4 volts, internet connection was good and the laptop sleep mode disabled.

Anybody have any idea what the issue might be? And more importantly is the ABS module ruined now or can I attempt to PMI it again??

Thanks for any help.
