Brad, I have a 2019 XLT with Pre-Collision Automatic Emergency Braking, can you tell me what else I would need to do to add and then enable Adaptive Cruise Control?

I posted this in the 2019 ACC thread but figured I'd post here as well as it would apply to a 2018 also....

I've been collaborating with the FORScan developer these past few weeks about the 2018-19 ACC - specifically the ABS PMI procedure that currently needs to be done in IDS/FDRS. I now have a test version of FORScan that may let everyone avoid having to use IDS/FDRS completely. I will test this new version out on starliner57 friend's F150 when he's ready and if all goes well then this new feature will be incorporated into the public release of FORScan.

Also, there's also the possibility that the expensive ABS ECU that people are buying may not even be necessary and the stock ABS ECU may work but I'll find out more on this when I do Starliner57's friend's truck. Not sure yet if an XLT ABS ECU is different than a Lariat+ ABS ECU but I have reason to believe any stock Lariat+ ABS ECU may work for ACC.

Fingers crossed!!!

Only thing I am missing is the on/off lane assist button, instead I used a small wire to jump the terminals on the IPMA to activate and it stays on ever after a 24 hour battery pull.
Ask away if you need assistance.
I've seen an asbuilt setting in IPMA that should allow you to remove the jumper on the IPMA terminals if you're willing to try? There's an asbuilt setting in IPMA where LA can be defaulted on so the jumper may not be needed but I'd need to pull your VIN to verify I can decode your '19's settings because I don't remember off the top of my head if I saw this setting in a '19 IPMA or some earlier version. Anyways, pm me your VIN if you're willing to try.

I'd be willing to give it a shot. I've got a 2019 F-150 XLT with auto high-beams and collision avoidance. I have the 2" IP screen. I know there won't be any indication that it's working but I'm curious if it's possible without upgrading to the 8" cluster.

I spent about an hour yesterday comparing my as built PCM to another as built and determined that indeed those 2 lines had different values than my as built. I admit this has been a nerve racking experience but with the help of LIV, IGGY, & P51SVO This wouldn't have been possible. A big Looks like I'm the first Diesel 3.0 to add ACC! Again I can't begin to thank all you guys for your help and expertise. I do have an extra CCM sensor if anyone is interested just PM me. I will post the values I used below in case any other 3.0 guys are following this thread.

Changes made in Forscan:

PCM: 7E0-01-10 xxx4 xxxx xxxF

PCM: 7E-02-01 xxxx xxxx x3xD
I will be the second one adding ACC to my 18' Lariat 3.0L Diesel, thanks for all who broke ground on this. I have been thinking about it for a while and after reading this entire thread I am ready to tackle it. If you still have that CCM pm me I am intersested for sure. I have a cart going and will be ordering some things this week and the rest nest week.

Cheers,
Joe

Any updates on the ABS not being needed? I have everything except the ABS module installed on my truck so I could experiment a bit.

The only way that the stock ABS module will work will be with a firmware flash and that's only IF it will work, the adapter you use with FORScan may dictate if you can do it also. They've been talking about a new version of FORScan with the firmware flashing ability that's supposed to be released soon and that's what you'll be wanting.
