2018 F-150 Lead Foot Lariat Special Edition With 502a package.

Here are the parts I used.

CADS - H1BZ-9E731-AE. Will still be called CCM in FORScan.

CADS Bracket- JL3Z-14C022-A

Bolts - W505424-S900 - 4ea Nutplates - W520802-S900 - 4ea

Bumper Wire Harness -JL3Z-15K867-G. May need different one for your truck. My truck is the eco boost with LED fog lights.

Wire Harness from Bumper Harness to CADS - JL3Z-15K867-B

Mount bracket studs - W717467-S439 (2 ea) and W717468-S439 (1 ea)

Sensor stud nuts – W705817-S441 (3ea)

HUD trim - FL3Z-15043C54-BA

HUD - FL3Z-19G468-A

Steering wheel sw - JL3Z-9C888-FA

IPMA - H1BZ-9E731-AE. Hope you have the old IPMA installed for Lane Keeping.

ABS Control Unit - JL3Z-2C215-B before 02/25/2018. After 02/26/2018 JL3Z-2C215-D. But you only need the ABS Control Module. So if you can find the P/N for only it.

INSTALLATION
BATTERY - Disconnect it.

HUD - Easy to remove the blank plate and add in the HUD module. Two retaining clips on either end with the HUD wire connected to the blank. Remove the plate with a small screw driver or trim removal tool - pops right out. Straight forward to install new trim plate and the HUD module. Easiest part of the install!

WIRING HARNESSES - The main bumper harness powers fogs (mine are LED ) and stutter assy in the grill. The main connector you can see from the top by the passenger headlight assy. It lays horizontal in a small triangular space. Some have removed the bumper. I removed the grill. Because I was also installing Raptor Style Light in the grill at the same time. Small bumper harness to CCM. Installs by the driver’s fog light and aft to the fwd side of the bumper.

SENSOR MODULE - The new bracket goes in very easy. Use Bolts - W505424-S900 - 4ea Nutplates - W520802-S900 – 4ea. Two at the top of the bracket to the metal frame behind it. One on each side. Install bottom studs W717467-S439 (2 ea) and top stud W717468-S439 (1 ea). Top stud is the one you use to level the sensor. Then install nuts W705817-S441 (3ea). Level the new sensor and you're good to go.

STEERING WHEEL CONTROLS - Getting the airbag out with two hex wrenches was easy. You can lift it right out and sit it on top of the wheel assembly. Two wiring connectors inside you need to pull off their retainer, but do not have to disconnect. One on either side (green and brown). The little hex screws to get the controls out was a royal pain! I used a screw-out tool as I had no hex tool in my collection of 50 that would fit it. No jeweler toolset worked either. I had the same screw with a phillips head so I just replaced those nasty ones with ones I can get in/out going forward. Remove one wiring harness to the control pod and it's out with the old pod and in with the new. Youtube video on how to pull the wheel if you need more detail.

IPMA – Remove old unit and install new unit. Which is above rearview mirror. Hope you already have Lane Keeping on your truck, if not I think you will have to replace the windsheild.

ABS Control Module – If you get the part I listed above. You can remove the ABS Control Module from the assy. Only four screws hold them together. And removing the old module from the truck will not open the brake lines. But just know installing the new module require IDS to complete the install of the unit.

Changes made in Forscan.

Your post clearly states 2018 and not 2019s. I am going to assume that is because this hasn't been installed and validated on a 2019 due to the lack of the wiring for the HUD module on the 2019s.

I'm curious if the procedure would be the same for 2019s less the HUD module.

Thanks for putting all this together and working with LIvinitup to get things going!

So, is there a way around using IDS to get the ABS module calibrated or is Livinitup working with ForScan to get this feature added? Was there a part number just for the ABS module itself separate from the entire assembly?

Also, just my experience and for anyone else's reference, but i removed the bumper to replace the CCM harness and it wasn't difficult at all.

Great, i'll be ordering the parts today.

Can the vehicle be driven once the ABS module has been replaced (i.e. to dealer for reset)?

I have a 2018 King Ranch with full LED, auto-headlights and rain sensing wipers... my windshield is identical to my brothers 2019 raptor with lane keep and acc. So i'm not sure what vehicles would potentially need a new windshield.

P51SVO - you have the same part numbers listed for the CADS and IPMA. Do they come as a package or just a typo?

I’m sure if this will work on the 2019 less the HUD or not. But if I get so free time soon. I can try and just disconnect my HUD an see if everything else still works.

I don’t know if there is any way around IDS on the ABS. And no I don’t know the part number for just the ABS control module.
