Good luck man. I hope you get it sorted, but I don't think a lawyer would take the case over a noisy engine, you'll probably have to wait until there's an actual failure.
If I was you I'd drive it like I stole it.

Also have sound here - late build '18 (10/18). Going to just drive it for now until someone reports a TSB / warranty repair actually working.

Am currently monitoring for oil consumption issue as well. Otherwise, driving it like I stole it.

thanks..i am still going to call. cant hurt to see what they say.. i think ford is just going to wait it out till we all get tired of wasting our time going to the dealer..hopefully someone else on here will have better luck getting this resolved. as me,i can only hope the motor throws a rod from knocking and rattling.

Call the cooperate number and be absolutely adamant that you wish to be contacted by a regional customer service rep. This is what I did, and I have been dealing with a rep now who has made this whole process slightly easier. I'm dealing with both the decel rattle and excessive oil consumption.

So I left two voicemails for my regional customer service rep and she didn't return my calls. I reached out to FordService on Twitter and they took my information. Surprise surprise, the same representative calls me and is super friendly, acting like we've never spoken and asks for a rundown of my issue.

"If you recall, [redacted], we've spoken several times and I left you two voicemails last week that went unreturned, you were last waiting for me to provide an update once my truck was back from the dealership."

We went through the updates of what's new on my end (nothing, other than putting 1,600 miles on a loaner) and she asked what I'd like her to do. I asked to have a buyback request put in. She has already put one in, and it was denied, but this was prior to my most recent 30-day service visit. I am hoping the outcome this time will be different.

If not, Lemon Law time.

However, recently after my dealership trips, I have noticed a scraping/scratching sound coming from what sounds like the bottom of the car. The pattern is not yet clear. However, it kind of sounds like the iwe check valve gone bad sound but not as loud. I have confirmed it is not because it is still present in 4x4. The only pattern I have noticed is that it happens around 30-40 mph. Around 1500-2000 rpms when the truck is driving on an incline with steady speed/rpm... and the engine/transmission is warmed up. Happens in almost all gears. I climbed under it and check to see if a heat shield is delaminating. But everything seems to be normal.... as well as driving the truck. Nothing unusual other than this dumb rattle. Any ideas? Truck has 10k miles on it
[Update]
Now I can hear the scraching noise all the time when I press the gas pedal like you at 1500-2000 rpms and around 30 mph. It looks like the noise is from 15 years old car. Ford's powertrain sucks.

I don’t know exactly. However it is different from the engine rattle noise. I think it is coming from rear side. I am sure that it is not from engine.
