I 100 percent agree with you man. I'm in the same situation. Currently dealing with a rep.. what good is a warranty extended if they cant fix things we bring them now?

I would suggest taking the warranty. It's not going to void any current warranty you have. It doesn't wash their hands of the issue either.
Either Ford or someone will eventually come up with a fix, in the mean time you might as well get an extra 2 year bumper to bumper warranty.

My rep offered me the same, and I accepted. Just curious, what's the logic behind not accepting it? As another poster noted, it doesn't wash fords hands of the problem, it doesn't change anything.. except essentially prolonging your bumper to bumper warranty. Just curious why you would turn it down? I was weary about it at first, but my rep explained that by me accepting it, it in no way compromises my chances of getting the truck fixed (whenever a fix is figured out.)

so the original warranty is 5 years / 60,000 miles and they add an additional 2 years to make it 7 years / 60,000 miles?

Hold up, did you get your bumper to bumper extended or engine and trans extended. Or does bumper to bumper imply both. I have currently 36000 3 year body, 5 year 60000 engine and trans... what did you get an extension on exactly?

Is that an extension on top of 5/60000? So in total yours is 10 years and 135000 miles from date of service?

i did not decline it yet.. i was wondering if they are using this as a way of getting out of doing a buy back...for me personally i wont keep this truck longer then 3 years at this point so i have no use for the extra warranty...i know this may sound foolish but i am really mad about the lack of urgency to repair our trucks.i have owned many fords and my son has a 2011 with the 5.0...the engine is quite and no rattles or chirps..as i stated in some other posts i would be happy if my engine only had a rattle, but it doesn't. if you guys only have the rattle consider your self lucky...i am truly embarrassed to drive my truck at this point.

Question

So I'm not sure if anyone pin pointed where the rattle is but I felt where the rattle is. It requires 2 people. If you put the truck in drive and hold the brake while someone else has the hood open. There are two connector plugs on the engine while you press the gas and release you can feel the rattle plain as day on these two connectors. They are the second ones back on both sides from the front of the motor. I don't know what they are. (someone may or has already confirmed this)
