Default Same noises

Been to multiple dealers , I’m having the same flutter noise on decel and clacking popping noise on accel, it started at around 1200km , (I’m in B.C. ) took it to the dealership I purchased it from and was told that the clunk/pop was normal and had nothing to worry about . So I drove it and didn’t think anything of it . After about 2500km I noticed that it had gone through about 1.5 litres of oil , took it to my local dealer to have it topped up and was told that it was again normal for it to go through about a litre in the breakin period . So proceed to continue driving it and didn’t check oil again till around 5000k , didn’t even show on dip stick . So took it back to ford once again and they again told me it was normal operation and within allowable oil consumption. So far I’m not very impressed with my 52000$ purchase. Have had multiple recalls and updates to tans and engine . I have my own scan tool , (autel maxisys) and have scanned truck many times and have not gotten any codes . But in live data I can see that my intake and exhaust valves are always 5* advanced , doesn’t seem normal to me . Told dealer and showed screen shots and was told that they cycled the cam phasers 10x and it should be good . Can’t sell truck the way it is right now and they won’t do anything for me until it throws a code .

I still have problems with my door locks. I had the recall done on the drivers door that redirects water. It still sometimes doesn't unlock and I have to reach inside to open it from there. Now the front passenger side did it as well. Forced into this truck when my 2012 engine went with 78,000ks and 6 months over warranty. Now I wish I had just spent the 9k and put a new engine in it.

I had a lot of popping too whenever letting off the gas. My tranny also was whinny but since getting the tranny tsb done is has mostly gone away. Still the odd pop once in a while.
Not sure what the cause of the popping sound in tranny is.

Is the popping sound only on 5.0 engines or is it across the board with all 10 speeds regardless of motor size?

Mine pops and whines. Which TSB did you have done to reduce the whine?

Mine is a Bit Different!
2018 XLT Sport 5.0 4X4
4500 miles
(Minnesota)

Just started getting the Bad Weather two weeks ago with the -25 stuff
Now 20" of snow in the last ten days, so most of the time in four wheel.

Twice now, sub 30 MPH when letting off and rolling to slow, a pronounced Clicking noise. (experiencing this morning in the six inches of new snow in traffic was awesome... cough)
Light tap on the brakes to see if it is an iced up rotor, Clicking Stops, Battery Light On, Truck not Running. (removing brake pressure and there is no restart, so I don't believe it is the Auto Off)
Push into Neutral and restart. Pops right off and continues to run the rest of the way to work.

Ideas??

Mine was built almost a year after the "built on or before" date in that TSB. Doubtful that it would help my situation, but may be worth it to find out I suppose.

I suggest going to your dealer and advise them your transmission is shifting rough and if they could look at it and update the programming on it. Im sure many have already had it done. I have a 2018 Lariat 5.0 and had mine done about a month ago.

I agree! Definitely get the transmission TSB done.

In my case, it was a huge improvement. So much so, that I don't give any thought to my transmission till I come on here and remember what it used to shift like.

That is what I told Service as well. I get rough shifts out of third and fourth. I don't think I even had to say that. He acknowledged it the moment I brought it up.

Also in BC, 26 000km on my 2018 f150 5L. 4.5L of oil has gone missing and I'm told by the dealer this is "normal"

First oil change ge done at 8000km, no data.
Second done at 19 000km, I was in the Bush and not able to get it done at 16 000km so I checked it before heading back to the city and it was 3.5l low, dipstick was dry.
Had it checked at 23 000, 1l low.
Had a consumption test done between 24 000 and 25 000, its "acceptable"
Turns out between 2017 and 2018 ford increased the oil volume from 7.75l to 8.28l in the 5l. The dealership made new Mark's on my dipstick for me to account for the new volume but put them lower then the factory marks....how does that even make sense?
