There's nothing 'high-revving' about these engines. In fact, redlined at only 5,750rpm, only diesels rev lower. Even the ancient pushrod V8s on Rams rev to at least that. Ford engines are the lowest revving DOHC engines I've ever seen by far. And the 5.0 V8 is even worse, considering it has no turbos, which typically lower the rev ceiling.

Actually, the stock redline in the 2018 5.0 F150 is 6k.

And the same 5.0 block in the 2017 Mustang GT has a 7k redline stock, and the 2018 has a 7500 redline stock, so yes, they are high revving engines, they just don't want idiots towing 15k pound trailers up hills to be running them that hard in order to keep 80mph.

Most tunes give the truck around 6500-7000 redline, and you could probably get the 7500 easily with new cams.

This. The Coyote is one of the highest revving stock V8s you can get...but in truck form they prevent the engine from going that high because it's hard not only on the Coyote but any motor to be spinning over 6000 RPM for an extended period of time. Not only that but as you go over 6000 RPM the cam profile somewhat limits the power band so it's almost useless for a truck that's towing (which is really what these vehicles are designed for). I've seen Youtube videos of tuned F-150s hitting 7000+ RPM...for a truck that's impressive to me.

Exactly what I was going to say,
Ford doesn't want you pulling a trailer up the mountains, screaming at 7000rpm( on a 100 degree day with the a/c blasting ).
Although, that would sound awesome with a Borla exhaust

Knocked out the computer reprogram for the shutter / rattle noise and the carpet shield recall too. At least it’s documented

hows the truck running?

To me that sounds like your lifters could be shot. That's what's going on with mine...and most likely due to oil starvation because of a faulty pump/oil pressure control solenoid. Mine has progressed to be much worse now. Do you notice any knocking (like a fast tapping) at 2K-3K RPM in 1st/2nd gear. If you brake torque it slightly (800-1000 RPM) while in drive and warmed up, does the knock get heavier? If so it's most likely progressed to a bottom end issue. At least with mine it started with a top end lubrication issue and has started to spread...my oil pressure randomly goes in and out of specifications.
over head cam engines don’t have lifters

Default They said the same thing about my knocking and high oil consumption. But

Other than those problems I am now currently on my 3rd set of plugs at 18k and this is what this previous set looks like with around 9k miles on them

Those aren't the correct plugs!

yea that’s all I could find at the time but they were the right type. The ones that were from factory were for a V6 and not even a V8. They also were fouled at 11k. I’ve got the correct OEM plugs now but I can guarantee they will be fouled in no time
