Sorry, I don't get all worked up on tools. If you think auto start stop is not here to say, and will not expand further, you are naive. Keep buying used trucks, I guess.

trust me it will be gone in a few years when they figure out another was to save fuel. It will be laughed at and a bad memory in the future

im old enough to have lived thru many failed automotive ideas and quests for gas mileage, and i can see how widly hated this feature is and how little it saves. My engineer brain knows this is just another feble attempt at saving gas that won’t last

If anything it'll be refined further than it is. It isn't going away. They'll tweak the logic more, and maybe eventually it'll work like it does in the skyactiv mazdas, which don't use the starter, they fire the next cylinder in line to restart the engine, may be a little more difficult on the larger truck engines than the small I4 though.

I agree. I too am old enough to remember all the failed emissions/gas mileage/safety failures that came and went that were just bad ideas forced on the manufacturers to comply with stupid, overbearing regulations.

So, 4 years after it was introduced into the F150 line up.....in 1 engine option only, they have expanded it to all engines offered in the lineup. It seems to be the opposite of what you are saying. And for good reason.

True,as long as the truck or car has a off button for the Start/Stop that's fine with me!!!Most of the time i remember to turn it off,but sometimes i forget!!

Is there no speed limit in Canada and isn't there a speed limiter before 130mph and are you sure you converted from kph correctly ?
