Apparently my dealer has all of the backordered parts in and I will be bringing it in for the third fix in a few days. Took about 3-4 months of waiting. We will see if these parts are indeed redesigned and if the problem stops.

I got my 2017 fixed about six weeks ago. I have no idea what parts they used. The noise stopped, but I do hear a little bit of rattle sometimes, but much, much less than before. I hear it only because I know what I'm listening for. I am also getting about 1 or 1.5mpg better than I was before the repair. More like when the truck was new.

I can’t find the post now but apparently somebody was testing a fix. Should we add zinc or Lucas or anything to try and help keep the cam phaers lubed? Or 0w-30?

Any word on the TSB being released or SSM being updated from someone with Ford inside knowledge? I’m assuming it has been or will be released very shortly since my dealer said the parts finally came in after the long wait. They better not be using the old parts days before the TSB comes out if not out already.

Well! After 1.5 month wait for the phasers and supplies got my 2018 F-150 worked on and picked up three days later and returned to dealership same day with an engine light on. That was cleared and two days later drove 170 miles to work only to park and find all my oil dumped on the ground and splattered all over undercarriage of the truck. Was able to tow the truck to a local ford shop who diagnosed it with a broken head gasket seal and they are repairing that. The original problem in the 4 days I have had it has not returned but I have the loud start up knock assuming the transmission. Had conversation with ford customer service rep on phone who gave me some options of a buy back if I continue to have issues or just don’t feel safe in the truck. They are waiting a response. Insure what road to take....

You've had the cam phasers repaired 3x?!?!?! I just had mine repaired last month but im not feeling too warm and fuzzy about all of this. They found a cracked header or something like that though which was replaced

I love the truck and the issue so far has been more of an annoyance than anything else so I'm ok with having them keep trying to fix it. Hopefully this is the last time though LOL

Had the fix done twice... it will come back. All the same parts. Second fix they noted the PCM was already updated with new strategy.

new 2020 tremor with roush supercharger sounds like answer when they buy this back.

boosted18- they gave me bumper to bumper to 75k for free
