Wondering if anyone knows if the cam phasers have been redesigned.... I have no sign of issues with mine, rattles, etc... If they are redesigned I'll get the job done, if not I think I'd rather not have half the engine torn down for no good reason.

Ford claims they did back in late 2019. However, my original phasers went ~25k miles before getting noisy. The “updated” ones only went 5k miles before becoming even noisier than the originals. My 2nd “updated” set is still quiet after 10k now, but I have zero faith in the updated design as I know a few other trucks that developed noisy phasers with the updated version.

Here's the sad thing. I was at the dealer just yesterday and there was a 2021 XLT 3.5 EB in for cold start rattle. 7K only.

what if I had my program updated on 9/3/21? Is it to late for any help from Ford if my phasers go out? I just bought this truck a month ago with only 35000 miles on it.

Same.

I’m getting mine done today. 😬

Had the initial 21B10 done on my '18 king ranch in july. 15K miles. Just recived a letter from Ford saying that some owners, who are still having the rattle on a cold start should bring it in. I'm one of them, although it's intermittant, and not happening every time (like before). Anyway, the dealer is asking me to bring it in for a diagnostic before Ok'ng the next repair. We'll see what they find, but it still does rattle occasionally. Not a sound that I ever like to hear when turning over.

the programming won’t do any good. It’s a piece of plastic they breaks and then you have the rattle. The new ones are indeed metal. I have 3k on mine and no issues so far.

I have a '20 Lariat with the 3.5 and I haven't gotten anything in the mail on my Ford Pass App.

Correct, dealerships will not be doing the 21B10 TSB until Ford gives them more guidance.

Again? They did that earlier this year and then updated it and have been doing it
