2018 2.7 Lariat 502a (Pics/intro)
Hey guys,
My ordered 2018 2.7, 10sp, 502a in ruby red was just delivered!
So far I absolutely love it. A few things to note that if you read through this forum will make you paranoid:
-The stock suspension is fantastic. This is coming from a Tacoma that came from the factory with bilstein 5100’s.
-The electric power steering in my truck is perfect and does not change resistance. I did rent a 2017 that had the power steering issue, so I know how that feels.
-10 speed is still in its “learning” phase but shifts very smoothly and I do not feel any “lunge”
-I was all ready to disable the start stop the second I got my truck home, but it’s honestly one of the least noticeable systems I’ve experienced. Only annoying if you’re creeping up at a light. Still might disable it haha.
-My moonroof doesn’t leak, probably because I didn’t order one.
So far I’m at 19.6mpg hoping that’s gets a little better.
Heres some pics! Next to the Tacoma it’s replacing.

great looking truck. exactly what i'd order if i was getting a 2018, except you'll pry the twin panel moonroof from my cold dead hands.

Nice! I ordered a similar truck but with the 3.5L. And the sunroof :-)
I totally freaked out on my first highway drive cuz I got like 18.5 mpg driving very gently. But now that I have 800 miles on the truck I am up to 22 on the hwy. So I expect I will hit at least the EPA of 23 soon.

Nice truck! I am just down the canyon in SLC. Noticed you bought from LHM Suoer Ford in SLC. How were they to deal with? My Lariat came from Performance Ford in Bountiful and they are great! Looking at the scenery in the background confirms that we live in a beautiful part of the country. Congrats.
