It unlocks the converter, so it doesn't lock it and pull the rpms down

Yes, This can easily be fixed by blending the area in question with more allowed slip (slightly not a ton) so it's smoother, but ford will probably either never do it, or wait until another update when the 19's are released.

If there has been so many updates, one in 2017..one in 2018...wouldn't a truck built in June 2018 already have both and drive as good as the people who got the update on their trucks?
