the manger suggested he was going to talk with the dealership owner and see if they can take care of this internally and then fight with ford, as the last time we had issues it took nearly 2 months to get ford to approve it and then another 30 days to complete the process.

then he asked would i like a 2017 or a 2018... they have 4 2018's in stock with 80 more on order.

I hope the dealer owner see' s this like the manager does and just makes it right as fast as possible

Any update on you situation?

Wow, that's pretty bad...on the doors that water sheet on the door wasn't installed correctly, I always start at the bottom and stretch them upwards to prevent that 'fold' at the bottom, there are drains on the sheet metal lips were they join outside the door weatherstrip-shouldnt get water in the doorsill at all.

I had all mine off and added sound deadening over the weather shields.

As far as the rear window I know the pre-alum bodies had leaking third light gaskets that dripped down inside. Didn't know the alums leaked there, now you got me going out to truck to see for leaks thx for reminder.

I was about to post since you're still fighting this I think you need it lemon lawed however that works in your state.

I hope the dealer is on top of it like you say as that would be awesome.

but your issues are crazy - I still sort of think the orginal fixes weren't through but at the same time I'm starting to think something's not square in your cab. Ie the whole thing is off somehow. A body shop worth their salt would have checked that as it's in the body shop manual.

I replaced the speakers on all four doors of my 2017 and noticed that there were huge gaps in the sealant aswell - easily big enough to get my finger in!

I removed, and then replaced the rubber sheet making sure the sealant was pressed down hard. Quite easy to do but a job that should be done at the factory!

Wow, this blows me away. Excellent job with the video's!

I now have an 18 but had traded my 15 in on it. I never had noticed anything like that but I park in my garage and don't put a lot of miles on vehicles now. I wash them often but use a powerful blower to dry them off.

Would be interesting to know if they did any changes to the 18's to address any of this. With it happening to both of your trucks, it has got to make you think it is a design flaw or production flaw.

I wish you luck and hope they take care of you to your satisfaction, sounds like you have a good dealership.

Sorry I have been gone for a while, we had some issues with Hurricane Irma and I do have updates to my issue

Truck went in just before IRMA hit, was there for 2 days before they gave me back the truck not repaired, we evacuated as we were in a mandatory zone

truck did flawless on its drive and i was very happy to have it optioned the way it is, 2.7 EB with 36 gallon tank, there were gas shortages and we made it from Tega Cay SC back to Cape Coral FL on one tank of gas, I never had to worry about finding gas along the way as so many others

so the eye wrecked alot of this area and so the body shop/ dealer were closed for 10 days as they didnt have power, they got power and got me schduled to get back in there

Truck was dropped off October 2nd and i spoke with Body shop manager who assures me he will find it/ fix it

I get a call Thrusday October 5th saying that they can not make it leak like I show in the videos. At this point I question him and his methods, my truck is parked on an slope in my drive way, its about 5 degrees so the front is higer than the rear, I asked him to jack up the front end to mimic this slope. He said he would try that and would call back.

October 6th I get a call saying that on the slight slope it does leak from the back window area and they are ordering new back glass

October 11th, the new glass came in and was installed, they want to let it cure for a day before they retest

October 12th, they retested and its leaking in the same exact spot.

So now they are talking with engineering on it, I am at the point I dont want it anymore, this is the second truck that has water leaks, and its a design issue like i assumed all along, there is no way to seal that rear sliding window so it wont leak, especially when parked in my driveway

I hope I had better news, but this looks to be a design flaw across all newer F150's that have the rear sliding window, with out them re-engineering that part its never gonna get fixed.

Ill most likely be starting the lemon law process again shortly here as no truck= no camping trips and i cant have that happening with my boys....

I wish i could stay with ford but this just is a major letdown/ deal breaker

Wow! Sorry for your troubles. I can't imagine how frustrating this is. With you having issues with two trucks, it's got to be an engineering/design flaw.

I just purchased mine used two weeks ago. It stays in a garage 95% of the time, however who knows, if I had water in mine prior to my purchase. I'm scared to look.

Hope they take care of you!
