Get used to it OP. I've had my truck 3 years and I'm on my 3rd windshield. I'm about to replace it AGAIN because it's all cracked up really bad with 4 different cracks all across the glass, and pitted all to hell. Just look at these wrong and they crack. Worst windshield in any vehicle I've ever owned, and this F-150 was the FIRST time I actually had to replace one! I've done chip repairs before, but never a replacement. I swear they make these SoundScreen windows out of crackers instead of sand...

My last vehicle was a lifted Xterra, sat at the same height, in the same city, same workplace, same drives, same family visits during holidays, 8 YEARS and I never had a crack!

Plenty of threads about cracked windshields on this forum...

Wow, what did she do that cracked it...wouldn't think window tinting could ever cause a crack.

I am having my window replaced as we speak...I almost went with Safelite, then found out my local shop could get the OEM after all....What problems did you have with them?

I'm on my 3rd windshield in 3 years and always went with OEM SoundScreen. Seems like crap glass to me. I'll be going with something different this time since it needs to be replaced AGAIN.

Another Ford issue I'm on my 4th windshield (bought it new in August 2017). 2 of them had defects. I owned 10+ vehicles in my life and never did I change a windshield. Got hit pretty bad by rocks during winter and they never cracked.

I had 2 soundscreen and 2 non soundscreen windshields. Both scratched easily and cracked easily. Cheap product if you ask me...

Mine cracked when it was PARKED! Ford said a rock hit it. and said it was not covered under warranty. I knew this would eventually happen. Didn't change it since the crack is at the bottom of the windshield and not affecting my vision. Will not change it.

Personally , none. But a very good buddy of mine had a hell of an experience with them last year. First time they slopped glue all over the windshield and damaged the headliner. Took it back and they had to install another windshield. That time they cut deep down into the A pillar trim and didn't say anything about it. And the installer had to have known he did it because he had to back the blade out once he practically reached the dash where it meets the pillar. After some talks with the manager, they finally agreed to replace the A pillar trim and headliner. All that from 2 trips and was supposed to be only one glass replacement.

While that may have been an isolated incident, that was enough for me. Plenty of other good local places to take my business to.

I'm wondering if Ford can address this issue if we have enough people on board with this complaint. There's no reason for us to be replacing windshields so often! This has never been an issue for me before... Gather up receipts...

I can't believe (actually I can) that you have had such bad luck with the windshields.....I mean maybe I have just been lucky this time around but I am at 20k kms on mine with maybe 3 chips (I sealed them right away) but nothing crazy. We do have pretty similar weather / gravel on the highway usage lol.

I guess hopefully my luck can hold out.

I sealed mine too, most were too late or too bad and cracked anyways. I guess there's more gravel and rock chuckers on the roads in Alberta. The big rigs, dump trucks and all the work trucks are usually to blame. I also have 91k on the clock so far, with most of that being from the first 2 years of ownership.

My windshield cracked the day after I bought the truck. It had less than 20 miles on it. I have no idea how it cracked. I never heard anything and there's no marks in the glass indicating a hit from a rock or something. Its in the lower right corner so I haven't bothered getting it fixed yet. It's been a couple months now
