I'm with HIM. My 2015 Larry 502a cost me $50K and I think I overpaid.
If I were you, I'd keep the 2014. I think they're NICER looking and better built.

There's something about owning a Roush truck that you can't quantify with dollars spent. Mine has the supercharger but even if it didn't, I'd still love my truck. Can't count how many times I see people taking pictures of it, both in parking lots and even driving down the road.

If you want a "look at me" truck, the Roush fits the bill.

I couldn't spend that on the Roush. I got my 502a for about $48,000. Level and rear blocks for $275 (installed myself). Alignment $75. Wheels and tires for $2700. So we are looking at $52,000 for a 502a. Now I couldn't find one with the sport package, but last I checked it was like $1700 on a 502a. I planned on swapping out the chrome, but decided not to. The point is you can get a 502a looking like that for about the same minus the name.

Vehicles by default are not investments. They're rapidly depreciating assets.

I agree. If it was a Lariat knocked out - maybe. If it had the SC, definitely. But after reading everyone's replies $55k is expensive for an XLT. Even one that looks like that. I'm still going to drive it just to get a feel for the exhaust and handling - but agree, not a good buy unless they took another good bit off. Looks like you get a 17 fully loaded XLT for $40k and get into a lariat for under $50k. King Ranch for $55k. So this truck would make sense as about $45k I guess (XLT + a couple grand for tires, rims, exhaust, suspension)

I agree with you man - it is a bad *** look. That's why I'm still wanting to drive it. Guess I can always try to beat them down on price - but I'm sure someone would pay that just for the name. Very cool truck, just don't want to overpay.

And I know everyone - wrong word used. Not investment, just want to not overpay if I could buy better

Roush does make a beautiful truck. That front grill is awesome.

Agree with others though, 55K on an XLT Roush is a bit much. Maybe if it was a Lariat Roush...

So let's say I drive the truck and love it. What is a good number you guys think would not be overpaying for the truck? $50k? Or should it be lower since it's not a Lariat pkg?

IMO, I wouldn't pay over $45k for that, and that would be adding in a premium because it's a Roush which you seem to really want (which is just stickers, grille, cheap lift, and wheels/tires from what I see).

That is such an insane price for an XLT with those kinds of things on it that I wouldn't even be entertaining the idea personally. $45k could get you an XLT 302A with a real lift and whatever exhaust, grille, wheels/tires you wanted.

EDIT: Just to add to the perspective others have given you - I paid right around $51k for a 601A King Ranch in early 2016 when the incentives were pretty low. I say buy an XLT or Lariat and build it how you want - you'll come out ahead.

I would never pay that for what is essentially my truck with some extra appearance mods. Your truck is a nice trim, I would keep it and make it your own. Going from HIDs to halogens sucks. Trust me I did it and I will be going with Anzos and LEDs. If that was a raptor id say jump in but it's not so...since you're asking. NO WAY
