Went onto the Ford website this morning to configure a new 2017 Platinum. Was disappointed to find out that if you order 3.5TT and 10 speed trans it automatically converts to 4x4. Was hoping to get 3.5tt and 10 speed on a 4x2 config as I've heard highway mpg would be 26 mpg or better. Anyone know if dealer can order this for me or we stuck with 4x4 only on this engine and trans?

Will probably order the 4x4 config soon but would be nice not to pay for a 4x4 when I hardly ever use it.

Just nag, and nag about not needing or using 4x4! I did, saved me a addition 3k.

Same for my previous, 2012!

Must be a glitch as stated the orderguides do not eliminate the 2wd version from ordering:
