Zoomed in image of the 'adjustment' hole. I inserted a flat-head and it turns but does not appear to lower/raise the light beam.

Try using a Philips head screw driver, and will take multiple full rotations.

Those little plastic cogs that are supposed to turn, are cheap. I had to put pressure to keep them together with a small flat head screwdriver.

I use painters tape on my garage door for adjustments, really helps.

Disregard - While it looks like a slot for a flathead, I found a link to someone using a phillips-head and it worked. It does start to 'chew-up' the white plastic in there. FWIW, turning clockwise lowers the beam and counterclockwise raises the beam. Thanks everyone for their help..

I used a Phillips screwdriver. You could also use a wrench on the back side (on the plastic white hexagon). On the F150, clockwise lowers and counterclockwise raises. All my other vehicles were the other way around. I made about 20+ full turns just to lower 11" from a 25-30ft distance.

Have to agree but what do I know

I said in post #4 that it’s a Phillips.

I checked the 2017 owner's manual and it states the lights were vertically adjusted at the factory and any issues due to accident that you should bring it to a service center. There is no mention of a vertical adjustment screw, nor can I find one. Anyone have an idea how I could adjust these headlamps to project vertically lower? Appreciate any feedback.
Thank you for adjusting them, you’re a gentleman and a scholar!

Did a 2 in level life front...Had to adjust mine. It’s easy to turn the 8 mm (?) bolt head off to the side of what he has pictured . I covered one headlight at a time with a towel and adjusted top of beams from 4 ft high on some trees @ 200 feet away down to the base or a tad lower. I can do better, but that works for me for now. I hate getting blinded or blinding others so if it’s a little low I’ll get it someday.
