Just bought a 2017 F150 regular cab XLT with non painted mirror caps. Can the stock non painted mirror caps be replaced with painted caps? Not looking for the "over the top, stick on ones" Any help would be appreciated.

I didn't get painted but got the chrome putco caps that you pry off the top half of the black stock covers and snap on the chrome putco. Super easy but you most likely will break a tab or two on the factory caps. Figured the chrome would accent the chrome package on my xlt

As far as I know,the only painted ones you can buy are on Ebay.Or you can buy the ford primed ones and have them painted.I bought the Galaxy Chrome stick ons and had them painted.The fit isn't perfect,but I'm over it.I'm into them for $150CDN.

I bought my Ingot Silver mirror caps off of eBay and had a local body shop I work with install them. It took them 10-15 minutes and they charged me $20. I've read they are easy to swap but for $20 I felt it was worth having a professional do it.

I went the PTM route.

The bottom two boxes in the 1st pic show part #s for PTM Mirror Caps, the other three are door & tailgate PTM.

I bought PTM mirror caps and door handles from Tasca and had a local body shop paint them. I removed and installed the mirror caps and handles myself to save on cost.
