...do you have all the weight off the tires and suspension at full droop when making the adjustments?

And definitely give the threads some lube.
I was going to post this question, but I didn't want to be the only one.

Yes, you must be at full droop while cranking that preload onto the coils..
Usually this means the wheel needs to come off..
They are still not fun to crank tho.
Sometimes a "cheater" bar (piece of pipe) on the end of your spanner will help get the ring moving..
Greasing the shock body threads will also help.

I'm really looking forward to your review.

For tires I'd definitely go as tall and wide as possible. Even if it's a 35" tire. Pre loaded lift struts tend to settle a touch later, and can be slightly tougher (firmer) riding. A 35" tire will actually help dampen some of the stiff ride..

When I tried to adjust the coil overs the tires were off and the truck was still supported on the Jack stands. So yes they were at full droop (and yes I had the set bolt completely loose). They are valid questions. Sometimes simple things are over looked.
On one video I watched from Icon they had left the tires on while the suspension was at full droop. So I was going to try that next time. I did also use a cheater bar and it did help but I kinda just gave up because I knew I wanted to take care of my rears before setting final ride height. What grease should I use on the shock body next time around?

Hmm that surprising you are having such a difficult time with that. I wish i had a stage 5 so we could talk apples to apples, but maybe someone will chime in eventually.

I just used some Tri-Flow dry lubricant. Same stuff I put on the uniballs on the control arms. Wont attract dirt and dust like grease.

I do remember reading about your build thread. How do the 295s fit on your truck? According to Nitto the 295/70R18 are 34.29x11.77. I am worried about that wide of a tire with the UCA and the remote res. I know the Stage 3 does not have the remote res up front.

I really do not drive this truck that often. I have a F250 for my work truck that I am in the majority of my time driving. But I wanted to just drive this a little bit so errands I normally run in my work truck I switched into my 150 today. So far I love the ride. It is just better. Can't wait to switch out the rears. The truck just feels better to drive. No more washy suspension up front. I will say for now I might be ok with the height up front. I had plans for a 2.5" block in the rear but I really think if I installed that right now it would be way way too much rake. I'll go back to the coil over adjustment when I get the rears in.
Only have about 30 miles on it so far but when I hit 100 I'll go back under everything and check torques. I'll get some pics of the CV angle (for the people who love to see that angle on any lifted front end)....the dreaded CV angle fear is not all that real for me. It's a truck....things wear out on it.
I am kicking myself for not getting the front measured prior to install. I had planned to work on Sunday with my buddy but when I got home Saturday from work I started laying out some tools and before I knew it I was diving in on the drivers side solo. So if anyone has the stock height for something similar to my truck I would love to know. 5.0 XLT Sport.
I also know I need to get an alignment and I will. But...I'll wait till I get my rears in and really finalize my front ride height. Not too worried about wearing these stock tires out because I really wanna get new rubber anyways.

Super Lube 41150 Synthetic Grease (NLGI 2), 14.1 oz Cartridge
Amazon Amazon

I use Synthetic grease on all poly suspension components, and shock body threads.. You really want to work it in prior to building the strut.. I'm not sure if there is a lock nut on those icons, but if there is you want to spin that nut loose and out of the way first, and then work the adjustment nut..

If the strut is still really tough and the wrench is slipping off quite a bit than you can get a spring compressor on the coil to take some of the load off the nut.

I was thinking of going for the rough county 3" kit with corrected angle upper control arms. I would rather the kit you got so il be on standby for your full and honest review..

The tires fit like a glove with the factory rims. No rubbing anywhere, forward/reverse, no issues through the entire suspension cycle. Even the back tucks nicely.

Ill have to look again at the front where the resi mounts...

The super lube grease was my first choice but I could not find it locally and I did not want to wait to have it shipped to me. I can always use it going forwards. I do also have the strut compressor tools and also figured I would try that method as well down the road if I do want to get more lift. I will post up some pics of angles and clearances to the front remote res.
Right now my front fender is sitting at 38 3/4". What is stock height?
