I would definitely try another dealer check Google reviews and see what people say about the different dealers. The only thing I could think of is maybe you have a vacuum leak. That can cause it as well and common.

You do understand that the system could be operating normally. There doesn't have to be anything wrong with the truck for it to not enter stop mode. it was posted a few posts back all of the known "inhibits". I can tell you there are a few more that are not public. My suggestion is to put a battery charger on your battery overnight, drive it for a couple days to see if it starts working again. If so, that doesn't mean your battery is bad,

I think that the auto-start is erratic in most new trucks. If my truck is cold and the cab temps are cold I just turn the auto start off. Im not even going to take it to my dealer. I have very little confidence in their service ability.

Slight Update:

Took the truck to dealer #2 today. (Truck City Ford, Buda, TX) told them the issue, and the man behind the counter goes.. "I know what it is, I can fix it in a day if we have the parts." Says a gasket in the motor is off or warped. The only way to tell though is to tear into the motor. So, I'll keep y'all posted! Here's to hoping I'll have a fixed truck by the end of the week. What are the chances I can get Ford corporate to give me an extended warranty on this truck for the hassle of not having it for more than 2 weeks?

You might get an oil change, but extended warranty--don't bet on it. You could file a complaint with FMC customer service against your original dealer for not having a clue. If you do make the complaint, make sure if the 2nd dealer corrects it, you include the documentation of all attempts and the correct repair.

FMC honestly doesn't like calls about proven incompetent service departments.

So far, Truck City Ford in Buda TX has fixed the issue... we will see if it holds. The truck was fixed and returned to me in 24 hours. they replaced an "aux" pump, the issue was still there. They "Removed trans pan and main control to inspect aux gasket. ...found gasket folded over, replaced seal and refilled unit cleared code and tested.. fixed."

Now I just hope the fix holds...

Hope the repair performed at Truck City takes care of the issue. Sounds like this is a dealer you should make your service provider.

Keep us posted on how this works out.

****update****

The issue has returned. the "Fix" held for 7 days. This marks 4 times in less than 40 days. I'm seriously thinking lemon law right now.

Get it permanently shut off.

The idea of stopping and starting an engine at every light etc. is crap. Just wears things out faster. It should start and run until you take the key out. Starting to love my 2012 more and more
