2017 F150 3.5 EcoBoost- Engine issue
So first thing; if you're coming in to knock the ecoboost or start a 5.0 vs ecoboost debate, hit the back button right now
For everyone else, on cold start today it made this noise
Sounds like a 90's cummins... As soon as I started driving it sounds totally normal and hasn't done it since...
Kinda sounds like it's not getting oil on startup to me. Yikes.

Only happened twice on cold start. A good friend of mine's a service manager at Ford so I sent him the video, he thought it sounded like the truck wasn't getting oil in the top end. But that's just from a video... I check the oil every second tank of fuel, and it's full. Hasn't burned a drop.
That noise is most definitely not injector tick.

That's not wastegate or injector rattling, I have heard both before. You definitely should take that in. I agree with the ford service manager you showed the video to...any aftermarket engine parts installed lately??
