I bought my 5.0 in September, and just passed 3,000 miles. It's great fun to have a V8 again, after many years of V6s in various vehicles. My commute is 23 miles and only about 7 of that freeway, but still getting over 16 mpg, not bad for that much power. On the only trip so far, I got to 20. My only complaint is not the engine or truck but the Goodyear Wrangler tires. I have to start off really gently going uphill on wet roads to keep the tires from spinning, and we have rain 9 months of the year. This week every day we have had freezing fog/black ice making it more challenging.

To be completely honest, the only thing Ford really cares about is designing a vehicle to make it past the warranty period. After that they don't care how it holds up. But that's any company now. So the more crazy inventions the auto manufacturers add to vehicles means higher cost of ownership later on in the vehicle's life (besides normal wear items.) Nothing lasts for ever.

2017 F150, 5.0, Supercrew XLT,
Special Edition Seats, Moonroof,
V8 Power!
Hi crew, Hope everyone is well. I feel so blessed just being able to say I own an Ford F150. Finally in my dream truck. First time truck owner so I have alot to learn especially since I'm used to driving a Nissan 4cyl. The V8 is a entire new powerful world for me. I have the black vinyl decals on my truck which have turned a white color from all the wax. Any recommendations on what product to remove the wax with? Not to bad but very noticeable. Have the Bilsteins on 2.1 in front and level on rear. Would love to install the LED lights in replace of my halogens. Any recommendations on a air intake upgrade with a performance muffler. Not looking to replace the entire exhaust system unless someone feels I'm wasting my time and money with just a performance muffler. Thanks for reading. Happy and healthy holidays to everyone's family . any feedback would be great. Congrats to all the new F150 owners as well. What a great solid truck.

The V8 5.0 in sport mode feels like I'm on the runway about to take off. The stock exhaust is a beast by itself as you all know. As I'm thinking why do I need to upgrade when the beast sounds amazing stock. Unless someone can recommend a better ooption I would love that much more. Thanks

If you really want to clean the **** out of your pants, I recommend pairing your 5.0 with the Omega tune! Nothing but smile from ear to ear. Night and day difference. The shifting is so much better, throttle response is spot on. Best 400 bucks I've spent.
