Glad to hear... I couldn't be happier with mine at 4500 miles (with several towing miles already as well). As a bonus I'm even happier with the mpg's it's getting.

Default July update

Well it finally broke down on the highway pulling my boat. Same tranny issue. This time my check engine light came out due to the violent shudder from the slip. Ford had it today and said the solenoids are faulty and have been since the factory. Be on the look out for the recall notice.

Cases are VERY different (unless you think you can bolt a Camaro trans straight into a F150), along with some internals....Ford uses Mercon LV fluid, GM uses Dex 6.....Transmission strategies are very different also.

Until it happens to you, then it's not so much a "Non-issue"......

OP, I test drove the new 3.5 Eco with the 10 speed Trans. I knew right away it wasn't for me. It seemed the transmission didn't know what gear it wanted to be. It just felt weird when shifting, & cruising at 70mph, it would constantly change gears from 10 to 9, & back again.....just a weird feeling trans. I sold my 2015 EcoBoost, I was all set on getting the new 3.5, but settled for the 5.0.....one main reason I couldn't stand the feel of that 10 speed trans.

Once the transmission completes the learning process it's a joy to be behind. I don't have any of the issues you're describing. It's one of my favorite features.

The dealer is a liar like every Ford salesman or manager or service writer I've ever dealt with. It's the nature of their game. Lie, lie and deny that's the ford way.
The 10 speed transmission is having issues and it's not a non issue. Every forum is reporting shifting issues with this rushed to market or poorly designed transmission(Your Choice)
Ford can't build a new engine or transmission that works right out of the box.

Ford quality is really slipping.

see, I have the total opposite experience. It stays in gear unless it needs to downshift to 9th for passing, going uphill, or something like that....but there's definitely no "hunting" that I've experienced.

Let's rehash.

Transmission jointly developed by Chevy and Ford starting years ago, and used in both chevy and ford products right now.

My brother has the 8-speed in his dodge ram and HATES IT. My opinion, a 10-speed tranny doesn't belong in a truck.....

the 6 speed in my '17 is flawless. shifts where it should and no issues.

OP, did you not notice the original issue when you test drove it? (I guess salesmen hate me when I go on a long test drive with no radio, no a/c, no talking, and windows up for 1/2 the drive.....)

At the top of the thread I uploaded a video of the symptom. It locks in 4th gear. Ford said the solenoids are not shifting out of gear.
