Before anything, can somebody tell me where I can get the build date of my truck? It's not listed anywhere. And neither the damn towing options or payload capacity. The only figure I found was the total cargo capacity, which includes passengers and everything else, and it's 1,458 lbs.

Now, just went under my truck, and I'm happy to report it has a metal oil pan. I bought it a couple of days ago, and asked for the newest, which supposedly was just 13 days old, but don't know its build date. It was the only one they had not affected by a fuel system recall (high-pressure fuel pump and other parts, I believe). So glad I at least dodged that bullet, and the one of the leaky oil pan. Hope it's trouble-free until the end of days. Ha ha.

The 1458 number should be your payload. There is also a yellow and white sticker in the driver's door jamb that states this number and I want to say the build date is there as well (month/year). Based on the motor and Class IV hitch, I can tow more than I will ever need to and you and I have the same truck. I just remember from the manual that anything over 5k requires a WDH. I bought my truck early June but I think it was an earlier build. My window sticker still says $1395 for the delivery charge. At some point in April or May I think that was raised to $1495? I could be wrong.

I have the plastic stuff but nothing to report after my whopping 740 miles. I'll be keeping an eye on it though.

No build date on any sticker. Yes, I know 1,458 is the total cargo capacity, but that includes occupants and everything else. How much can the bed hold?
And yes, 5K-lbs and above requires a WDH. And 1.5K-lbs and above trailer brakes (electric or surge). I didn't expect it to be that low, but will follow it. My brother won't be happy I'll refuse to tow a big trailer with 2 quads and a bike that surely weigh more than that. Heck, just the 3 vehicles probably weigh that much.

I don't know how much the bed can hold. As far as frame/leaf springs I imagine its similar to tongue weight from a trailer. It's all weight on the frame, right? As far as build dates go: Is this not the build date? This picture was from a dealership web page for a new diesel F150.

Chalk mine up to a leaking oil pan now. 2017 F150 3.5 EB. This is now the third warranty issue on a truck that's a month shy of 2 years old and with just under 9k miles on the odometer. To say I'm not happy is an understatement. Seriously considering just trading this thing in.

Add me to the list. 2017 F150 Platinum FX4. Brought my truck in for service today (35K miles) and the dealer called that the oil pan is leaking again. This is the fourth time I've dealt with this. Asked for a metal pan and am awaiting approval.
Also had a leaking transmission when the truck was delivered. They replaced the trans pan and it still leaked. Had to replace the whole transmission. Out of the first 90 days I owned it, over 30 it was in the shop.

call a lemon law attorney. I just had my 5th pan put on. One every 10k miles. Dealer gives me a fuller service oil change for free and new oil pan. Ford gave me $5,000 for the problem. Ot doesn't leak much so it doesnt bother me.

New to forum, 2017 Ford F150 Platinum is at the dealer today for oil pan leak repair, parts were ordered 3 months ago, evidently it was 2 bolts that were the long lead items, any one else experience this? From reading about this in the forum anything else I should be aware of? When I bought the truck I also opted for the road hazard tire warranty, good thing, was informed that 2 more tires are not repairable, so bottom line I may have oil leaks for life of the truck, but it will have new tires..........
