Default 2017 AC not very cold

Hey fellas/ ladies. Anyone else notice their new trucks AC doesn't get very cold. In order to cool the cab in a warm day I find myself keeping it on max AC. This can't be right.

cheers

Mine is the same way on my 16 with 9k miles and has been that way since day one but dealer says is hitting right temperature but when I drove a rental truck is was cooler with 12k miles.

Tint the windows. Surprising how much it helps.

I do not have that problem on my 17. Windows are not tinted and I rarely have to go below 72. I never use Max. I'm thinking something is wrong with yours.

Do you have recirc on, when not on max a/c? That makes all the difference in the world here in FL. If you want it cold cold, get the temp setting down to just before it clicks over to max a/c.

I kind of thought it was a little weak on my 2017 as well. I don't think anything is wrong with it though. You could try closing the rear vents in the back of the truck and that could help. For me 95% of the time there is no one in the back seat so its nice to get some more air up front. I usually run mine on max where you have to pump the **** over to get the light to come on and recirculating air.

Mine is not great here either though my normal temps are 110, but have seen better AC's on other vehicles. Not sure there is anything wrong though.

Oh Boy, I sympathize with you guys, Ford never could get mine to perform as designed! Evap coil on my 13 is suppose to by Ford design to operate between 36 and 38 degrees. Mine operates between 44-48!

This has nothing to do with tinting windows or wrapping lines under the hood. Its a physical operations issue.

Good luck!

Other vehicles I've been in, not just fords, have noticeably cooler ACs. I think it should definitely be cooler than how it performs now. I'll take into shop and report back. Would be nice to not have to run the fan so high to cool comfrotably
